The situation of this hotel is very good. The railway station is near and from the railway station it is the best way to travel to the airport. There are many many restaurants near the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The rooms are small, but modern in terms of decor and fittings. And it's is not too pricey.

Plus points - cleanliness, very friendly staff, decent bedrooms, nice and quiet, inexpensive for Rome.

Low points - very poor breakfasts, pathetic lift service, boring locale, dreary bar, noisy air-con.

It is certainly not a place to get excited about, but it is is safe and reliable.

Room Tip: Fifth or six floor is away from any street noise, but too far to take the stairs. The lift holds 6 p...

Nice hotel, well located near Termine. The bedrooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. Good choice if you want to visit all turistic places ando also get in/out Rome by train.

The hotel has good location, approx. 5-7 minutes to the Central Train Station Termini, where you can find supermarket on the lower floor. From Genova it takes 20 minutes walk to Colosseum. The rooms are pretty different: we had one twin room on the 2nd floor with bathroom, but one double room on the same floor with a tiny shower, so my father could hardly fit it :) Breakfast is pretty reach. Don't go to Pizza restaurant (don't remember thr name), which is across Via Cavour, very touristic place with low quallity of food.

Enjoyed the hospitality of the Genova in November for 3 nights. Valentina and the staff were wonderful in helping us make arrangments for our group of 30. The rooms were clean and comfortable. No they were not large but were everything we needed for our stay. The Breakfast was exceptional!!! With good choices of pastries and eggs, fruit, coffee and juice. Just up the street from the Santa Maggiore and the Hop on Hop off bus stop - SO HANDY. The street out front was noisy through the night - but people - this is ROME . . . it is busy and that is its charm. Can hardly wait to go back again and will recommend the Genova to anyone planning to visit Rome.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the back if you need it a little quieter.

This hotel was close to all transport, very easy to get to the tourist spots. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast excellent, and lots of choices. The room was excellent and very roomy. The shower drain was blocked when we first arrived, but they fixed it promptly. The service at this hotel was excellent. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Be careful on the Metro. On our way to see the Vatican,we had our camera stolen traveling on the metro, and we were so cautious about thieves, or so we thought. So no photos. We stayed for seven nights, the price was excellent, the service was also excellent. Would stay here again.
