Big, clean, impersonal, very close to termini (convinient if you arrive late or leave early), close to colosseo +++.
Great breakfast.
Not the friendliest staff.

During my holiday in Rome I stayed at 5 different places. This was the second most expensive. The location was somewhat better than the cheaper ones, as was the breakfast and design, but all in all I would not go here again. You can find smaller, family run establishments that are really friendly and cosy at a substanitally better price. The drawback with the cheaper ones is that you have to walk 5 min extra to get into the city centre. On the positive side that allows you time for an extra gelato on your way home :)
If I compare hotel Genova to the more expensive of the hotel I stayed at, it is lightyears away from that standard. In conclusion I would say the hotel is good, but lacks a wow effect to be worth spending the extra euros. It's impersonal and the staff does not contribute to making it more friendly, so I dont think it gives you good value for your money.

Tätä hotellia voin suositella varauksetta kaikille Roomasta hotellia etsiville.

This great hotel is located near Termini Station and it is very easy to find. Reasonably priced and really helpful staff. They even were able to save our travel funds, which we (very stupidly) forgot in the safety box. Our special thanks goes to Antonio who was behind the desk, he was really helpful and we are really thankful to him. I can recommend without any resevations this great hotel to everyone, who are now seeking hotel in Rome.

Stayed a few days in this hotel. The hotel is very good, friendly staff, good breakfast etc. The best, however, turned out to be its location. A few minutes by foot from Termini (main train station) gives you both underground lines. Plus: once you are tired, somewhere in Rome and far away from the underground (happens a lot in Rome as there are only two major lines and nothing in between)...just hop on a bus. You will always find one going to Termini, thus home.
There is an area with quite a few restaurants nearby, if you just want to have a bite nearby.

Room Tip: try to avoid the rooms to the front (main road). The best is high up and to a patio.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the station - it was easy to locate and in a good area rooms were clean and staff very helpful - was within reasonable walking distance to most of the sights with plenty of public transport handy - we used metro on several occasions and whilst dirty did not have any problems

Room Tip: our room was a bit dark and had no views looked onto central well (surrounded on all four sides by r...

Three couples traveled from Florida to Italy on May 2nd 2014. We stayed at the Hotel Genova, and had a wonderful time. First of all, the Hotel was an easy walk to the hop on hop off bus. We also could walk to the Trevi Fountain. Although it was a longer walk, we walked to and from the Coluseum twice. (I am 70 years old) The hotel is so lovely, modern but comfy, rooms are quite large, bathrooms great. The included breakfast was elegantly presented with China plates, real cutlery (not plastic, like most in US) Add a very helpful staff, and it made for a very special visit.

Room Tip: Our room faced the street. Not noisy, bit great for people watching!

My wife & I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of July. We arrived in Rome after a 10hr Sea crossing & a 4 hour drive at the end of our holidays.,After a slight mixup & delay with our booking we were kindly helped to our room. The room was clean & tidy & adequate for us, with our own balcony access. Wifi was a little hit & miss on the (6th Floor) but overall worked reasonably well. Breakfast area was very clean & tidy, with the food being good, but could certainly do with a few more options. Staff were adequate also, but overall didn't really come across as anything special. Location was close to the Main Termini, which suited us well. I would look elsewhere next time to experience somewhere different, but wouldn't be unhappy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 605 own balcony, kingsize bed & noise was very minimal
