“Weekend break”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2013

Had a long weekend break - hotel staff very helpful room quite basic no bath just shower but as we were out all the days ideal for sleeping . Was cleaned daily and fresh towels . Lovely breakfast . The only downside of the area was not many restaurants to eat ..
Found metro very easy to use .

Room Tip: Ask for room at back very noisy at front

We booked the hotel for a 5 night stay in Rome. We did break our stay due to travels to Florence and Venice and checked in and out of the hotel. The rooms during both the stays were perfect. Don't go by the exterior of the building, as the interiors are quite nice. The rooms had everything that you need. Lovely modern decor, good aircon, a small balcony, working desk, wifi and a lovely bathroom. Very impressive. The pricing of the hotel is pretty competitive. We booked online via a travel portal and got a great deal. The front desk staff are accomodating and helpful. The hotel itself is conveniently located close to the San Giovanni metro station and also right across the local bus stand. The number 87 bus stops right across and takes one to the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Very convenient. The metro station is perfect to connect to Roma termini to go to the airport on the fast train or else to take the Marozzi bus or the Trenitalia....There is also a small Coin mall next door where you can everything that you need. There was a coffee machine at the lobby and we did have our cups of coffee on our way in or out. Quite a nice touch. There is also a complimentary internet kiosk at the front desk. Quite thoughtful. The only drawback was the breakfast room. It had great views of the city but that was it. The breakfast was quite average and the coffee was very tepid. Not an issue as breakfast is not a proper meal in Italy anyways. However the coffee not being good was quite a downer...not in Rome!

I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is visiting Rome and is not looking for anything extravagant. Its a lovely hotel, well located and has decent staff. What more do you want!

We will be back.

Room Tip: Ask for the renovated rooms and the ones that have a small balcony...quite cute

Quite nice hotel, not in heart of Rome but fairly close to the metro station, and if you like to walk 10 minutes from san Giovanni 26 from colosseum and 20 from terms do caracalla it is not bad at whole, breack fast plenty of stuff and beeing on the 8th floor looking over Rome is a bit of a treat..

If what you want is a hotel to sleep and spend all day sightseeing this is the place for you. Rooms are small but clean. Staff friendly. The one thing happened to us bathroom didnt work good and it took them forever to fix it. Breakfast is great, lovely view of Rome from restaurant. Waitres were geat, funny and friendly.
They locked the front door at night so just ring the bell and someone will open the door for you, very safe.
Location is great, bus route just accross the hotel as well as a supermarket.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for five nights in July 2013.
The air conditioned room was exceptionally clean with tea/coffee making facilities. It was compact but reasonably well appointed with a balcony and motorised window blinds
The bathroom was small but the shower was very modern and there were always plenty of clean fresh towels.
The breakfast room is on the 8th floor with a reasonable selection of food. This room also has the benefit of a fantastic view of the Vatican. Staff were always pleasant and very helpful.
The Metro is a short walk away with trains into the city centre.
There are shops locally with Café’s and also some good Restaurants in the area.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights last May. The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks away from a subway stop. Our comfortable, although small room, room was on the 7th floor with a balcony that provided a nice view of Rome without the street noise. The staff was especially helpful. The elevator was rather small making it necessary to make several trips to get all of our luggage up to our room. We would stay here again.

First time in Rome and we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, within 30 minutes we had the next 4 days organised, with tours booked and walking maps marked out, even suggested placed to visit that were fabulous, bus was right out the front of the hotel, that takes you to ever tourist site, it's may not be in the centre of town, which is good for dinners, there are great choices for restaurants within 2 blocks, great shopping within a 5 minute walk also. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for them. Breakfast had plenty of food that was fresh and tasty, overall a great place to stay.
