If I ever visit Rome again I would make it a point to visit this joint. The staff is so dammn friendly and warm. You would be greeted with a nice hug and stuff like that; almost like you are family. The food is brilliant of course. There's just a really nice vibe to this place and that's why I could give it a 5 star rating.

Esempio lampante di false recensioni, il ristorante Bartolomeo non esiste più da diversi mesi e mi rifiuto di pensare che si scriva una recensione ben 4 mesi dopo aver consumato.

My family and I were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn just a few blocks away from this restaurant. The hotel staff recommended it and we are so glad we followed their advice! We had appetizer, pasta, pizza, and salad - all of it was tasty and fresh. The service was prompt and staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this local place and hope to go back on our next visit to Rome!

After checking into our hotel my girlfriend and I decided to look for somewhere to eat. Little did we realise everything in the general area was shut down by 9:30-10pm, at this point we were starving! We happened upon Bartolomeo and ordered a couple of pizzas to take away thinking this would be the last we would see of this place. The owner (I believe) was extremely friendly, so too were the other staff. We got the pizza back to our hotel room and couldn't believe how delicious they were, there were very thin but the flavour was immense.

The next night we again wanted pizzas so Bartolomeo was the natural choice again. This time we ordered three pizzas between the two of us, again we were very satisfied.

Now having had our fill of pizza, on our third and final night in Rome we decided it was time for some authentic Italian pasta, we again chose Bartolomeo. On our arrival the staff had remembered us from our previous visits and asked if we wanted takeaway, but this time we went for the Italian dining experience. Again the staff were very friendly and helpful. For our starter we shared a tomato, rocket and mozzarella salad with little black olives on the side, it was so refreshing after a hot day adventuring across the city. Not usually being a big pasta fan I went for the 'when in Rome' approach and went for a pasta with tomato, bacon and chilli, my girlfriend ordered a pasta with tomato and garlic. They were both amazing! The different flavours made every bite more interesting than the last. The portions were very generous and I could barely clear my plate and for myself that is a rarity. From what we had been told before visiting Rome we assumed eating out would be very expensive, this was not the case here. Each of our mains was only €8 which I'll take over London prices any day, I believe our bill came to a grand total of €29.50 which I believe was a steal.

Overall I would highly recommend Bartolomeo when staying in the area, compliments to the chef all the staff working there! We were the couple who came in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. I was the taller guy with dark hair and my girlfriend was shorter with red hair. Thank you for making our trip to Rome even more excellent.

Not worth the recommendation from garden inn. Pasta was not fully cooked. Very hard to chew and sticky to teeth. Spaghetti and pizza taste so so. Staff are friendly but very limited in English to be helpful. Other nearby restaurants are much better in the same price range. Paying $30 per person, I was expecting something much better.
