“Good Location, Great Hotel”
Reviewed 14 October 2011

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend break to celebrate our wedding anniversary - this hotel is great value for money, very clean and the staff and very helpful. The free mini bar was a plus but don't expect anything amazing. The roof gardem made it for me, after a busy day it was lovely to have somewhere peaceful to go (I found even with the restuarants you would tend to be sat out on a fairly main road unless you were prepared to go quite far afield) and the food was great - pricey but no more so than any other restaurant in Rome
Colosseum and The Vatican are the obvious attractions but did involve alot of queuing - with hindsight I would buy my tickets online, for a small booking charge you get to jump alot of the queues apart from the security checks at The Vatican. If you want to go to the Sistine chapel you would need to but a ticket for the Vatican museams (I didn't think this was clear but maybe it was just me!)
The Colosseum queues were very disorganised and it also wasn't clear that if you spend an extra 5 euro per ticket you can get a tour guide which we didn't particularly want but you get to down to the basements, onto the false arena floor up to the third level which you don't get to do with a normal ticket

This was an AMAZING Hotel and to sum it up, I have nothing negative to say.
The hotel was very near the train station and was also close to our tour bus stop not to mention a ‘healthy’ walking distance to the colosseum, which we stumbled onto on a night stroll on our first night. It was a whole is kept in good condition. The rooms were neat and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and kept clean (the hair dryer overheats and stops to cool after a while). The BONUS was the complementary mini-bar restocked daily with cool drinks, water and local beer all completely free.
The daily breakfast had a large variety (I am a vegetarian and I was catered for)
The staff was friendly and helpful, even when it came down to marking places on the map and advising on the intricacies of taking a train to other towns.

My wife and I stayed four nights here during our trip to Italy. This was our first stop and we were nervous about how the hotel was going to compare to a 4 star hotel in the US. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helped us during a transportation strike in Rome. The location is great. The rooftop bar is very chill and the drinks are strong. The free wireless worked better than any of the other 4 hotels that we stayed at in Italy. The also have a business center that we used to upload our photos to an external hard drive which helped save room on our camera. The FREE mini bar was a nice addition. The only downside was the shower was small and the bed wasn't as comfortable as some of the other Italian hotels but we walked and drank enough to put us asleep. If we venture back to Rome, we will stay here again, no question!!

We stayed at the Artemide for three nights recently and were very pleased by the property and lovely service we experienced. Staff helped with restaurant recommendations and reservations. We were upgraded to a junior suite (much appreciated since my husband is an early riser and I am a jet lag sufferer!) and the room was lovely and spotless and quiet, in spite of being right on via Nazionale. We stayed here based on Trip Advisor reviews and because our usual hotel (just off the Pizza Narvonna) was fully booked. The free minibar is a great idea - costs very little to supply water to guests yet it is a very welcome perk. Think that this has just become our new "usual" hotel in Rome. Whole heartedly recommend the property.

We just got back from a visit to Rome and stayed for 3 nights at the Artemide Hotel.
I can't say enough good about our stay there. The hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport, and staff were helpful in any way possible.
The hotel is beautiful and in a very central location, close to many attractions,I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Rome.

What a gem of a hotel! The location was perfect...as others have stated within walking distance to many major attractions in Rome. We used the Main Termini many times as well to get to other locations (Including a day trip to Pompeii!).
The breakfast was AMAZING!!! American hotels could certainly learn something from them. loved the free mini-bar -- loaded up on bottled water before we left every day.
Staff helpful...service terrific.
I requested a room away from the main street as others recomended and slept well -- no street noise!
So many others have pointed out atll the good things about this hotel...just want to stay, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in ROME.
Would recommend for anyone to buy the Roma pass -- allows you to visit a couple of sites of your choosing and FREE metro for three days!

Room Tip: As stated above, request a room away from the main street.
