“Everything good, nothing great”

We stayed as a city break over the May Day bank holiday. The staff were very friendly. Our room was smallish but very clean and well appointed. Nice modern bathroom. Firm but very comfortable bed and pillows. Tea/coffee supplies in the room were stingy, but more came if you asked. The mini bar (beer/water/juice) was free. Worse thing was that the room looked out onto only a dingy internal light well.
Breakfast was relaxed but a bit limited, not a huge spread. Free (15 minutes) use of the internet.
Location was good for the station (we waked with wheelie cases) but a bit peripheral for everything else.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and extremely polite, the room, whilst not overly big, was nicely furnished and despite being on a main road was very quiet. A lovely touch was the voucher, on checking in, for either coffee or a glass of Prosecco. Also the free mini bar was a great idea, giving you water, beer, fizzy drinks and snacks. It was within 10-15 mins walk of Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Colosseum. There were a few small restaurants within a 5 min walk, although we did eat in the hotel restaurant one evening and the food and service were superb. We had a little trouble with the safe in the room but the staff were excellent and had it sorted in no time. The breakfasts were very good, plenty to eat although not a great choice of hot food. The lounge and bar area were very pleasant but I could have done without the big flat scrren television and the sport!! Overall a very nice hotel, we had a great time

My wife and I booked the Hotel Artemede a few months before we travelled based largely on reviews on TripAdvisor and the location of the hotel. We were determined for it to be special as the trip was for our 10th wedding anniversary.

We weren't disappointed!

From the moment we walked into the lobby to check in to the moment we left all the staff could not do enough for us. We were made to feel so welcome and were given some fantastic advice about how to get about and where to eat.

The hotel is well situated with the majority of the main attractions within 20 mins, either on foot or by bus (virtually outside the hotel) or by metro (about 5 mins walk to Termini). As it is in central Rome there is no escape from the fact that sometimes you are aware of traffic noise outside, but we did not find this intrusive enough to cause us any concern. We would argue that any hotel in central Rome is going to experience some noise.

The free mini bar was very welcome when returnig from a hard days sight seeing!

Breakfast was included in our rate and had enough choice to make it more than acceptable.

Once you add up what you would get charged for breakfast and mini bar drinks at other hotels, the room rates are very competitive, especially given that it is a 4 star hotel right in the heart of Rome.

We cannot rate this hotel high enough, and we would not hesitate in going back.

Stayed for 3 nights with my husband to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. Hotel was lovely staff were very friendly and helpful. The room (a superior) no 301 was a good size the bathroom was great it had a jacuzzi bath and very powerful shower. However if you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back the hotel is on a very noisy main road and traffic and sirens can be heard even on the 3rd floor. Other than that the hotel was great and the breakfast was lovely plenty of fresh fruit, juices, meats and cheeses, pastries and bacon sausages and eggs.

We stayed in Rome only one night on our way home from three weeks of travel. This hotel was well staffed by attentive and professional people. It is located on Via Nazional not far from the train station. We arrived early and the room was not ready yet, but our bags were looked after carefully and one that held some ceramic we bought in Florence was marked 'fragile' when we arrived back for check-in. They offered a free cup of coffee or flute of Spumonte in a lovely well appointed lounge. Free internet was available in the lobby. The room was comfortable, and a buffet breakfast was included for a reasonable price.

We chose the Artemide Hotel purely on the reviews of Tripadvisor which turned out to be a sound choice.
We arrived at the hotel after a late flight to Rome. We were met and returned to the airport by the hotels airport shuttle service which was excellent. On arrival at the hotel we were checked in by friendly and helpful staff who quickly registered us and showed us to our room on the 6th floor, which was a pleasant room of quite reasonable size with a stylish and well fitted bathroom.
Everything was spotlessly clean and linen and towels etc were new and well laundered.
Breakfast was quite a surprise as we are not always impressed with standard continental breakfasts. The Artemide however provides an excellent buffett with a large range of meats, cheeses, Cereals, fresh and processed fruit, juices, etc but also a hot selection with bacon and scrambled egg, and plenty of coffee and tea.
For people visiting Rome to take in all of the attractions, the position of Artemide is perfect with everything except perhaps the Vatican within easy walking distance.
All in all for us Artemide was the perfect Rome hotel at a cost that didn´t make the eyes water when paying the bill.
One small critisism, for us personnaly, the bed was a little on the firm side others may of course find this a plus point.
