“Great hotel - excellent value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2010

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. It's in a good location to go see all the sites, and far enough away from the dodgy area around the train station.
It's on a busy street but we couldn't hear any traffic noise at all.
The staff were lovely, the room was great and the free mini-bar was a great touch. We were also provided with a voucher for a free glass of prosecco on the rooftop terrace which has nice views of Rome.
Would highly recommend staying here as it is great value for money.

My husband and I booked this hotel after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location, being within walking distance of all the major sights of Rome and only 5 mins from the train station. The room was lovely and modern and we especially enjoyd the free minibar which was restocked everyday. It was a lovely place to relax after some very busy days in the city.

The only slightly disappointing aspect of the room was the noise that came from the very busy road at the front of the hotel - this kept me almost completley awake on the first night. Considering the rooms are supposed to be sound proof we were slightly diappointed.

Other than this, I don't have any other complaints with the hotel - the staff were all very friendly and helpful particulary when they helped us out with a problem we had relating to our private transfer to the airport. They called the company for us and sorted everything out. I thought this was excellent service. Also, the breakfast was lovely with a huge choice and the vouchers for a free drink in the rooftop bar was a very nice touch.

Overall I would recommend this as a brilliant hotel for sightseeing in Rome and we would come again.

The hotel is three blocks from the Piazza della Republica (where there is a metro) and a 10 minute cab ride from the train station. We got ripped off by the cabdriver but the hotel bellboy said it should only be about 10 Euros from the train station with 2 bags. Alternatively, you could take the metro and walk the three blocks if you do not have too much luggage.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the beds are just heavenly. The snacks that all the other reviewers talk about are just awesome. The minibar is free and stacked with waters (fizzy and natural), juices, beer, and cookies. At the end of the day, it is so refreshing to come back to something cold and not worry about the cost.

The location is fine -- it is on Via Nazionale where hotels are on every block. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the Colloseum and the Roman Forum. The metro is convenient to get to Vatican City, and we walked mostly everyplace else (although there are buses that go to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon).

I thought the hotel was a little pricey but given the quality, I can't complain. The hotel acknowledged our wedding anniversary by placing a free bottle of wine, peanuts, and note in our room before we arrived. They provided us with a voucher for a welcome drink (prosecco or coffee) on their terrace. They arranged a car service for us to the airport for a flat fee (which eliminated our concern about being ripped off by cab drivers). Finally, the wi-fi connection in the room was free and reliable.

The first stop of our Italian tour was one of the best. As honeymooners they upgraded us to a junior suite and provided a bottle of congratulatory wine. The room was clean, modern but warm, front desk service was top notch, breakfast was the best of our 12-day trip. The immediate neighborhood is a major shopping street, not especially noteworthy but easy walking distance to a lot of things that are: Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. And the rooftop bar adds a nice place to start up or wrap up an evening.

This was my favorite hotel of my entire trip. The location couldn't be better. We walked nearly everywhere we wanted to go. The train station is less than a mile away too. My room was amazing (I booked the Junior Suite). It had a private balcony with a view of all the shops. There is a rooftop lounge area to have drinks & dinner. They have a business center with several computers, a gym, a theater room. The mini bar in the room is all complimentary & restocked daily. The staff were truly amazing & friendly. We had to leave at 4:30 a.m. to catch a flight & they packed a box breakfast for us. They definitely go above & beyond!
Definitely check out the Gelato shop on Via De Serpentia. I can't remember the name of the cross street (I want to say Via Cuomo?), but it's not far from the Colosseum. It's to die for!!!

My husband and I have been to Rome a few times before and we were only going to be in town for 2 nights this trip. We chose this hotel because it was near the Republic metro station and on Via Nazionale which has a ton of buses and stores (supermarket across the street). This is good because there are only two train lines in Rome and this one will get you to all the major sites. The hotel itself was nice and very large. The room was actually nicer than I thought it would be (see attached picture). The bathroom was very large (see attached picture), had great water pressure, but downside, very very dark and no tissues, which is a pet peve of mine. We had no view, but that was okay, because you are never in the room. The staff was nice and helpful. We did run up to the roof top bar, it was just okay. We paid about $330 USD for the two nights. Will stay at this hotel again, and reccommend to others looking for a nice clean, safe hotel not to far from the attractions.
