We enjoyed our recent Valentine's getaway to Rome and stayed at the King Hotel. It is very close to the Barberini Metro line and is midway between the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. We also visited Hard Rock café in Rome which was a few blocks away.

The hotel is several stories with stairs and a small elevator. Our room was actually spacious, but very old, dark and dreary. It was ok, but for the price we paid it was acceptable. The bed was quite comfortable and the free Wi-Fi internet was appreciated. The free breakfast was minimal, but had the basic continental fare. Friendly service. Enjoy Rome! Ciao!

Excellent location, steps from Trinita dei Monti, quiet area, nice rooftop terraces, free wi-fi working very good, room with old furniture, but everything was clean, good value for money. I'll definetly come back here.

The King Hotel in Rome is walking distance of many popular sites, for example the Pantheon. It is also steps away from a bus stop and subway station. Many restaurants nearby. Our triple room was huge, altho the bathroom was small. We were there for a very hot week in June and appreciated the A.C. The breakfast was ample and VERY good in a nice covered area. There
is also a sun lounge area, but did not use that due to the hot weather. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: we asked for a got a quiet room, the window opening on a residential courtyard.

We booked this with our travel agent thinking it was just going to be cheap and basic. Well... Cheap but filthy. Mouldy walls in the bedroom, mouldy shower, paint chipping off everything, carpet was questionable. I have read reviews and if you stay in the 4th floor apparently they are newer nicer rooms but ours was on the 5th floor in the older wing and it was disgraceful. My partner even got sick while we stayed there, an awful cough that cleared after we left. I'm convinced it was the mould in the room. Just awful!!! Breakfast was very very basic! People were nice and good location but didn't make up for the awful room. My advice- pay more get somewhere clean!

It was our first trip to room and we enjoyed our 5 nights in here from 21December-26 december. The hotel location is great few steps away from the Spanish steps and alot of attractions in rome. Our room was 410 it's a nice room, Central heating worked fine also the wifi. The breakfast was continental toast, cheese, ham, hot croissants, cakes, jams, juice and variety of tea and coffee to choose from.
The hotel staff was very helpfull and friendly we needed another blanket and it was given to us in 5 mins also great taxi service from the hotel to Fiumicino airport.

Once here there the Blue Ice gelateria next to the hotel fantastic ice-cream.

Room Tip: Choose rooms at the back rooms in front have the teatro sistina Choose rooms at the 4th floor

We have been there for 3 nights at the first room we herd every man and women who walk to the dinning room. At the second room after they shift us we herd opera very loud. Yep apparently the is a opera house next to the hotel. The room was clean but very unstable. The breakfast was very poor. There was no value to the money. The only advantage was the great location next to the spanish steps and very close to mor attraction.

it wasn't a fancy hotel, but to travelers on a budget like us it was diffinitely sufficent. the loaction is great - right by a bus stop, the metro, and a walking distance from a lot of great places!
the breakfast was bread (which you can toast), butter&jam, a little bit of cheese and meat, cereal and croosiant. you can also order cappucino or esspreso, no extra charge - not amazing but not bad either!
wifi was working in our room except for one night, and they fixed it quickly.
the hotel stuff was lovely and kindly helped with recommenations to resturants, directions and our poor italiano...

Room Tip: we were on the third floor - close to the breakfast. hard to carry the lugugge but otherwise great.
