We stayed at the La Residenza in April and loved the hotel. We took a Junior Suite (which had a balcony). The hotel is lovely and has a graciousness from another era. The front desk clerks (Antonello and Andrea) were terrific...so helpful and friendly. The manager was always walking around during the day and checking to see what was going on.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the subway. We walked to the Trevi Fountain (approx 15 minutes) and we walked back from the Borghese Gallery (20 minutes).

We visited Rome earlier this month based on reviews from Trip Advisor - and were not disappointed; great staff, really handy location for walking and the metro (30 minutes walk to the Collesseum which was as far out as we planned to go, very near Spanish steps etc), and a clean and large room (we booked a mini-suite and got a large room with balcony). Breakfast was as per many other reviews; really great.

Very good hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was big for European standard and was very clean. You can walk from the hotel to every major tourist attraction in the Rome. The metro station is 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff speak English and always give you the assistance that you ask. Very good breakfast. We stayed at room 1, in the ground floor. The central heating was to strong,so we slept with open window. Also was a noise that was maybe from the elevator

This is our third stay in La Residenza and we can't recommend it enough. Wonderful location, a warm and caring staff, fantastic breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms all combine to make this a great, affordable place to stay in Rome.

Excellent hotel. Super b'fast, very clean and friendly staff. Highly recommended. My only complaint is that the central heating was too strong and it got too hot inside. But otherwise it was really good value for money. Thank you.

This very comfortable hotel serves a great breakfast. The reception is friendly and knowledgeable about area restaurants and the like. The hotel is near the Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. We stayed for almost a week and it was great.

I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel in Rome as it was our first visit to this great city. I am happy I made the right choice as everything was up to high standards. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The breakfasts were perfect and definitely more than we expected to have: fresh pineapple, melon, grapes, plums and more others. We stayed 7 nights in a junior suite and it was so quiet that we could sleep up to 10am and heard no noise from outside (only once maybe). We pre-booked a baby cot and it was there when we arrived (the charge was 20eur per day). Complimentary fruits upon arrival and drinks on Friday night were also provided. One night we went out to Vladimiro restaraunt (1 block away from the hotel) and had a fantastic meal (no pizza there, only meat and pasta dishes but absolutely delicious!). Next time in Rome I would stay there again.
