Loved the location
However on the very 1st night our room was broken Into and about $1700 US dollars worth of stuff was stolen from us while we were sleeping. Hotel have us the run around and did not seemed at least bit concerned about it.

It is an older hotel but very well maintained. I would say it is within walking distance to all the attractions if you are young and don't mind the exercise. It is close to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps but it may be kind of far to other major attractions for some people. Like other people mentioned in previous reviews, the metro station is about a block away.
The breakfast is a buffet and has a variety of things to choose from. If you are there in the summer, the patio is a must for breakfast.
Great shops and restaurants around the area.
Can't complain. Very happy with my stay.

The best aspect of this hotel is it's location. It is very close to all the main Rome tourist attraction, situated near Piazza Republica, yet it is not as noisy as in other districts. We walked to Fontana di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna from the hotel and it took us around 10 minutes. The hotel is big, and I must mention the size of the rooms - unusually big for a european hotel. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. Special thanks to Lala for all her assistance. The breakfast was exceptional. They also have a cute little garden, which is a pleasant detail.
However, the hotel desperately needs certain renovations. In particular the bathroom, it was very clean, yet certain facilities need to be replaced. It is not a modern hotel, so if you don't like a charm of a slightly retro (in terms of style) then it is not for you.
Overall I am very happy I chose this hotel and would certainly stay here again.

Great hotel. Central to everything. You can walk to all the main historic sites or if you are not a walker then there is a metro station less than five minutes away. Rooms perfect and a great breakfast. We really enjoyed a drink before dinner with live music from the piano player. Highly recommend Da Trani restaurant on Via Genova, a five minute walk away.

Apart from its location, this place had very little to offer. It's not maintained well, rooms are average at best, but worst of all, this hotel sports some of the unfredliest, rudest staff i've ever seen. Stay away. For your money, you can get a lot better in Rome.

this is a big central hotel near repubblica metro station and 10 mins from termini. yes it is old and faded in parts but this just adds to the charm. not many tourists when we stayed other guests were italian oldtimers. breakfast plentiful, nice cold meat selection and good coffee. big rooms (we had a triple) though some damp stains on wall, just needs a lick of paint like the rest of the place. otherwise very good we will be back

Room Tip: ask for courtyard or corner room

we booked a superior room for 4 nights, on arrival a superior room was not available and we had a standard double we were then given an upgrade to an executive room at no extra cost for the last 3 days,I suspect this was a superior room though we were told this was their best room with the best view , the view was against a run down building. We were ignored by the staff in the lounge early evening when it was quiet and decided to buy our drinks next door in the Irish pub instead, on check out we were given an overpriced bill and got absolutely nowhere with the stubborn manager, shame it was a clean hotel and great location but staffing was bad , all men
