My mum and I stayed here for 3 nights in May and found both the hotel and room beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom, however the bathroom flooded whilst having a shower. No matter what we tried we couldn't stop the water flooding down the back of the bath so in the end we had to sit in the bath and hold the shower head just above us.
Even though the hotel is huge, we were not disturbed by other guests, meaning we had 3 really good nights sleep.
The breakfast wasn't as good as in some of the other hotels we stayed in whilst visiting Italy but the garden terrace is a beautiful location to sit and enjoy a coffee.
The location of the hotel is great, not too far away from the train station and within walking distance of all the major sights.

In my opinion the Hotel Quirinale is amazing. First, the location is perfect. You are just a short walk from the Forum and the Colosseum. If you are visiting somewhere a bit farther there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, a red line metro station at the Piazza della Republic, and a blue line station at the nearby Termini. Being close to the Termini is great if you are arriving by the Leonardo Express from the airport. The hotel is over 150 yrs old so if you see some age in the building there is a good reason. There is a nice little enclosed courtyard where you can have your meals, including the included breakfast. Our room was on the 5th floor and we were pleasantly surprised to find it had a chandelier and, even more rare for the hotel, a balcony. We sat there at night listening to the music in the courtyard and having some wine with pastries from a local shop. Our room was spacious, some are smaller but adequate, and had a wonderful bathroom my wife wanted to take home with us. The bathtub has a shower nozzle. Even though the building is old there are two modern elevators and one older Stigler that I suggest you experience at least once. The room was was quiet, we requested a room overlooking the courtyard for that purpose, there is a chance of street noise if you are on that side and open your window. The air conditioning did not blow hard so it just gave a very light breeze if you were near the vent. But the room was surprisingly cool considering it was in July. The breakfast was wonderful and filling. There were two types of scrambled eggs; regular and spicy. Breads, cereals, meats, cheeses, tarts, cakes made up the buffet. There were three coffee machines that made coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. The juice dispensers had several choices, I fell in love with the blood orange juice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are wondering where to eat make sure to ask at the desk, they have some great suggestions. A few things you should know if you are coming from the States. If you are coming from the US realize that the 4 Star system is different in Europe that in the States, do a little research. This is Italy so do not expect an American hotel experience. You will be pleasantly surprised if you are more open minded. Don't expect 100 English channels. Again, you are not in the States. We even watched a corny horror/comedy in Italian and were able to follow the story. The reason for a room is to sleep, if you are going to Rome to just sit in the room and watch TV please rethink your trip. The staff at this hotel are great and every time we had a question there was someone who spoke English there to help us. You will love your stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter and if you are able to get a room on the 5th floor you may be...

Our first time in Rome, the hotel was excellent. The staff were very attentive. The garden patio was really nice and the food excellent too. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it. Very good location , but busy street.

It's nearly a year since we stayed at the Quirinale but we had such a great stay I wanted to write a recommendation now I've started reviewing. We were there in August and Rome was very hot, the air conditioned elegance of the Quirinale Hotel was a delight after sight seeing in the Roman sun. In the evenings we really enjoyed the enclosed courtyard both dining and just enjoying a drink. The staff were very friendly and had excellent English; they really helped us with a problem with a car hire booking and offered to send someone out to get opera tickets for us. We walked to most of the sights and took a bus from just outside the hotel to the Vatican; this is a good base for seeing Rome.

We stayed 7 nights at the Hotel Quirinale and found it to be a very pleasant place from which to base our Rome vacation. It's an older hotel with the charm and elegance you would expect, but all the modern conveniences. The rooms appointed nicely and very clean and the bathrooms are all updated. The size of the room actually exceeded our expectations. It's not a "luxury" 5 star hotel, but you won't be disappointed given the reasonable price. The lobby and sitting room do have the old world charm that you would expect.

It's very close to the Termini train station and metro stops, so it's an easy place to get transportation.

The breakfasts had a wide variety of food and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Eating in the central garden area was a very enjoyable.

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at the hotel and we would recommend it for couples, families and business travelers.

I just spent 2 nights in Quirinale hotel, for business trip (yes, it is possible to go to Rome in July for business!). While the location of the hotel is great, and the garden terrace is just outstanding, the rest is really obsolete and would need a serious refreshment. It is a pity because you certainly feel the true Rome, despite the hordes of Asian tourists in this hotel (Summer time...).

I have just returned from the most wonderful 4 night, 5 day stay in Rome and Hotel Quirinale. It was my first time in this hotel but definately not last. My room was on the 5th floor with a terrace overlooking the roman streets.
House keeping staff work very hard to keep the rooms and public areas clean - and there is really a lot of areas to clean - these are by the way wonderful with all the antique furniture, paintings etc.
The breakfast is great and so is the service - Claudia - I think she is a supervisor was great with staff as well as guests. Dinner in the courtyard is fantastic - one can have from a small snack to a full three course meal - also pizza.
Reception staff were also really fantastic and would answer to your questions with a smile. I will be back.

Room Tip: Rooms with a terrace give more of the Italian character.
