I stayed at the Quirinale hotel for 2 weeks between July 13-July 26.
The Hotel is very nice, good location, nice restaurant and atmosphere with, mostly, nice staff .
BUT even the total experience of staying at the hotel was good, guests should be aware that some areas/rooms at the hotel are situated above the Underground/Subway/Metro and the beds are getting the vibrations each time a train is passing under the building .
The staff was mostly very nice including the manger and his assistant exept one rude and not reliable front desk employee- Alessando- who tried to convince me to stay in the room
I got claiming the whole hotel suffers from those vibrations. Only after I checked it with the manager of the hotel (who was extremely surprise to hear that info. was given by Alessandro) I got a nice a "stable" room.
Same rude guy, Alessandro, refused to let me stay for extra 4 hours- late checkout -unless I'll pay 50% of full room rate which meant few hundred dollars at that day .
Finally and again, the manager's assistant took care of it and charged me only 50 euro which is the usual fare in Europe for late checkout..

Room Tip: dont saty at room 518 and all the section around it. lawer floors suffers less from train vibrations

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.

Pros:
- Room was spacious and the beds were quite comfortable.
- Within the walking distance from the train station which took us to airport
- Within the walking distance to major sights e.g. colosseum, forum romanum
- Easy to take a metro to Vatican

Cons:
- The breakfast was modest
- The bathroom was just odd by construction, e.g. the bathtub was in the middle of the bathroom. The bathroom door did not close.
- The room was not clean, it was old, worn-out and uncomfortable.
- Service was not friendly
- We heard a lot of noises during the night despite our window was in the courtyard.

Next visit to Rome, we would seek another hotel. Definitely not worth the money.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your report about your stay in March.
We are pleased to read that you were well impressed for some aspects of our hotel (as the location and beds) and we are sorry for others that you haven’t appreciated.
Referring to the bathroom, we understood that it is not your preferred style.
We are dealing with a building which is over a hundred years old in the centre of an ancient city and the hotel is full of history that’s why we want to keep the original state as much as possible. In fact, as you probably have seen during your stay, in all the common areas the feeling of antique is still alive with the furniture and pictures.
Moreover, the room where you stayed, it is the most requested by Opera Artists for their stays during their performances at the Opera House.
Best regards.
Elena Benedetti

Stayed in a triple room and was very surprised with how big and nice the room was! Beds were very comfortable and quiet. With a very luxurious feel. Ceiling to floor window with draped curtains and a chandelier in the centre of the ceiling. Not to mention the ceilings are high! Bathroom was clean and big as well. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Range of choices and beautiful seating areas out in the garden! The staff were also very friendly and professional, made our stay comfortable and welcoming! Hotel is close distance to the Roma termini station. Shopping and great restaurants down side streets too! Defiantly recommend staying here. Worth every penny!

Nice enough but nothing startling. Huge hotel which meant lots of empty chairs as you walked about which made it a bit eerie at times. Clean, rooms fine, food adequate. Reception very slow although pleasant and friendly. Right on the main drag so noisy and busy outside your door. Main Street is not ideal location as bit of
a hike to everywhere but too close for a taxi. Wouldn't stay here again but nothing really wrong with the place. Needs an update not what I would consider a 4 star hotel.

Stayed at the Quirinale in July for just one night before heading for Sorrento. We chose the hotel for its close proximity to Rome Termini railway station. Sadly, on arrival, the reception staff were not very amicable and there was a clear lack of assistance with the bags. Huge overly spacious room with high ceiling, a wooden floor covered in part with a rather old rug. The bathroom was adequate and clean. We had a pleasant breakfast in the garden. All in all, a satisfactory stay but the hotel is in need of a major revamp and just wasn't our style.

The Quirinale was an absolutely beautiful hotel - the huge foyer and the beautiful gardens were great! The location was good - near the Termini station but also close to sights - walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. Room was very nice and spacious however the bed was rock hard!! Wifi was free and fast which was great. Breakfast was great served outside in the garden. Staff were helpful when we were trying to figure out the best way to get to the airport - they organised a transfer service for us. Travelled in July 2014 and stayed as a couple.

There's so much to do in Rome, we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but when we did we had an enjoyable time. The hotel is in a great location -close to the main train station and also about a 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain.

The facilities in the room were good. Air conditioning and wifi both functioning well. I think it might be a bit hit and miss with the rooms, as we did hear people complaining about some things not working at reception. Our room was fine though, and a decent size.

The breakfast was ample with all sorts of fruit, pastries, cereal, meats, yoghurt and coffee. You also have the option to pay for poached/fried eggs if you fancy something hot. The garden is really nice to enjoy a meal or a drink in. We enjoyed some gin and tonics in the evening while listening to a live piano player.

The staff were accommodating and were more than happy to help make some dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant for me.

Overall it was a nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again. Good value for money and a very convenient location.
