The price booked and confirmed online was inflated by 25% when we arrived, with the excuse that "we didn't pay online" - which is complete bull, since the hotel had our credit card details as entered on the website, and simply didn't charge it. The room had no mobile signal for our phones, and they also tried to reduce our checkout time, as opposed to the booking confirmation. Additionally, we found out the family who runs the hotel also runs three or four other hotels in the same building, so they have a nice little operation of "competing" with each other and lying to clients about the price of the booking, whilst leaving it all "in the family", so to speak. We won't be coming back.

Hotel Robino was close to the main train station but smelly, blocked shower drain and no space in the bathroom. The smell of the air fresher was far worse than any smell they may have been trying to cover up.

The lady at the reception desk was a Filipino lady that had the worst customer service skills; rude and not very pleasant. The room she gave us was one the first floor next to the entrance, which made it impossible to get any sleep the first night because we could hear everyone come in and ring the doorbell to get in. To top it off at 6am, the owner's mother, some old lady decided to start chatting on the phone at the top of her lungs, and I had to get out of the room and tell her to be quiet! Finally they gave us a room upstairs, but the water from the shower came out and wet the entire tiny floor, also, there are no blow driers available. Plus they over charged me from the quote I was given on easytobook.com because, "for unknown reasons, they could not charge my credit card on time." Lame! Then my friend and I ended up finding out more reviews on other websites and realized what a terrible mistake we had made by booking this hotel based on the inaccurate reviews given on this website.

We were late booking a hotel over the weekend in Rome, and ended up settling for this hotel without many other options. The location is great and most of the sights are in easy walking distance. The room was good enough, it was clean and the towels were changed daily. The bathroom was tiny and in a poor state with damp above the shower and on the shower curtain. We had two single beds pushed together to make a double, which would normally be fine but the two mattresses were of different heights! There are no permanent staff on the desk at this hotel, so it is not the place to stay if you would like advice on restaurants etc.

i stayed in hotel rubino for a week during my mid leave from afghanistan. I payed at the counter using my visa debit card (this was the first and only time i have ever used this card).
Once i returned to Australia i found that i was missing $50,000 from my account.
I got a copy of my transactions and this is currently under investigation.
I have never given out my bank details online nor did i use my ATM card overseas.
I guess i cant proove it was them, but its just a bit suspicious that the transactions started five days after i left the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.

It is located very conveniently - close to the train station, so you don't have to walk too much with your luggage. At the same time you are in the city centre and all the sightseeing attractions are in walkable distance.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit dodgy and confusing. There are few hotels in the building - like one floor - one hotel, but the room itself was clean.
We didn't have any special view - the window was inside the courtyard which made the room quite, so it was ok.

the strange thing is that the sink is not in the bathroom, but in the room - a bit unusual. In the bathroom there is a toilet and the shower which is quite small.

the breakfast is included in the price of the hotel, but it is not served in the hotel itself - you get the ticket in the hotel and get your breakfast in a cafe across the street - the croissant and juice/tea/coffee. The pastry was very good, but the drink was nothing special (you'd better pay separately for a good espresso in some local place nearby).
