“Great location, service and room!”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

My sister and I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. The concierge was there waiting for us on his night shift. Just like we had assumed, the Tiziano hotel is a quaint bed and breakfast, styled with an antique interior and with warm hospitality and care. Not to mention the pricing for such a great location location location. I could tour the major attractions or shop and go back to my room without traveling far at any time. I entered my room and was so pleased to see such a quaint room, with a newly renovated bathroom and a window niche with a chair overlooking the street where I could sit and read or watch the passersby below during my afternoon siestas. The breakfast was simple but satisfying and considering the hot days of August in Rome, our AC in our room was always comfortable. I loved it and would stay there again.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at the Tiziano Hotel. It is clean and comfortable (great air conditioning in mid August). This is a great basic hotel, the front desk is just that... don't expect a concierge. The one front desk gentleman (Roman but from Utah) recommended us to go to Trastevere for dinner, it was wonderful (we even walked home). The breakfast has everything from fresh fruit to homemade bread and cereal too. Everyone was kind and low key. The hotel is a block from the Argentina Sacred grounds (2000 years old) and two blocks from the Pantheon. Piazza Nuovo is just three blocks so it is perfect to walk to dinner. Also, Campo di Fiori is just behind it, maybe 4 blocks. We walked to the Vatican or there is a bus right outside if you do not want to walk. We had our children there and it was a perfect family hotel. Thank you Tiziano!

Room Tip: We had a two rooms facing the busy street, on the first floor. But with the shutters and windows cl...

Stayed in May 2013 before a cruise and was relatively pleased with this hotel. The decor is a bit tired, though it is an older building. Beds were terribly firm. Very little water pressure in the shower. The continental breakfast is mostly cheeses, meats, and a danish. The free WiFi was speedy and met our needs, though I previously read it wasn't the greatest. We primarily booked due to all the reviews about this hotel being close to everything, and we were not disappointed! Only a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and a 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain.

The best thing about this hotel was the location - which is like 25 minute walk (10 minute bus ride) to the Colosseum, 15 minute walk to Trevi Fountain and many other sites close by. They have free internet in the rooms which is very convenient and air conditioning. The wait staff, maids, and those who helped us with our bags were very friendly and kind. The guys at the front desk were alright, but I've seen better service. One of them could not crack a smile for anyone or anything and just mechanical and even sombre. We even felt guilty staying in the lobby for an extra couple of hours after checking out waiting for our pick up. Breakfast was ok, but I've seen other 4 star establishments with 8 times the food on the table. Very limited range of food too. And the restaurant is beautiful but now only used to stare baggage. The decor, you can tell was once beautiful but today is very worn. The bathroom is tiny. The room is not too big. But the coffee is good and always hot, and they had a high chair for baby (and also a free baby cot for the room). It's rated 4 star but I'd say it is really 3-3.5.

Location of the hotel is perfect. You'll reach all the monuments by foot. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and the breakfast was also good. We stayed 4 nights and were absolutely satisfied! A bus stop is just in front of the hotel.
I would say it's a great choice for a "Roman holidays" ;)

It's as old and worn as the hills but there's something about the Hotel Tiziano that we just loved. Don't expect boutique hotel luxury but its charm and character, superb location, brilliant staff (Daniel is a marvel) and very reasonable pricing for central Rome are its complete redemption. You'll get a quiet night, a decent shower and a good variety at breakfast to set you up for a days sightseeing, and with all the major sights in easy walking distance its the perfect base for exploring the magic of Rome.

This hotel is all about its location...so close to some of the greatest sites that its easy to walk to them with bus stops for most routes on the doorstep!
The hotel itself was everything we needed (2adults&2teens) Our room was huge with plenty of space for hanging and storing clothes and luggage. Air con was a god send and once windows were closed there was no outside noise. Yes the bathroom was small and a bit shabby but then we werent spending much time in it so who cares!
Breakfast each morning was well catered..self service apart from the hot drinks which were brought to the table as ordered.
Generally a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff.
If the trevi fountain grants our wish then this is where we would stay again!
