“Apartment A was a 2-bedroom/2 bathroom AWESOME place!”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

We stayed in one of the two apartments in early July 2013. We have 2 teenage sons, and this was centrally located with plenty of room. 2 suites with bathrooms, full kitchen, livingroom, and located 10-15 min walk from Trevi Fountain / Spanish Steps and many other sites. Very spacious, comfortable, and free breakfast in the hotel each morning. Angelo the owner was very accommodating, helpful and did anything he could to assist us and make our stay comfortable! We will stay here again the next time in Rome. There is an elevator (tiny like all italian ones!) that takes you upstairs to the apartment. There was AC in the room too which was important because Rome in July can be sweltering. Beds were king in the master and 2 side by side (push together to make another king). Comfy and clean bedding. Very restful. Its overlooking a side street so not the same traffic noise you might get on Via Nazionale around the corner. Felt very safe in this area.

Room Tip: Apartment A! Chose this one!

We just loved this Hotel as we could walk to just about every major site or catch the metro from the station nearby. The breakfasts were enough for a days walking and the pub below was wonderful for watching my sporting events. The laundry around the corner in the internet café on Napoli street was a bonus not mentioned before by travellers. Florian was very helpful on the desk and all in all this hotel was a quiet oasis in a busy city.

Room Tip: The Il Barocco restaurant was good in Napoli st.

We traveled to Rome in July and stayed at Hotel Cortina. What a lovely, quaint hotel! We want to thank all the staff for an absolutely wonderful stay there. Very clean and well taken care and oh the air-conditioning was bliss after a long day of Rome sightseeing!! Special thank you to Angelo for the two lovely glasses. We loved the breakfast nook with all the lovely china. What a surprise when you presented them to us on our last day. We will look at them and always be reminded of our amazing and unforgettable visit to Rome. We would definitely stay there again, maybe in one of their spacious apartments.
Thank you again!!

The polite staff helped us plan our stay ahead of time, communicating via email. The adorable breakfast eating area had delicious continental breakfast – pastries, cheeses, meats, fruit, bread, cereals. Best cappuccinos crafted with love each morning. Our room was a comfortable size, but the shower was European-size (small).
Located 10 minute walk from Termini train station, convenient bus access.

From booking our stay to arranging a car to pick us up from the airport the hotel was so customer friendly. Upon arrival nothing was too much trouble. They provide 5 star service. From restaurant advice to tourist attractions, train advice etc the guys in reception were excellent.

The rooms however were dated and tiny as were the bathrooms, but all were scrupulously clean which is more important. The hotel is so convenient for all attractions, shopping and restaurants important after a long day of walking around the Vatican, colosseum etc.

Hotel Cortina was perfect for our walking tour of Rome! Angelo and staff were always helpful and so nice! Angelo arranged for myself,my husband and two Granddaughters to be picked up at the airport and driven to the hotel. The driver was so nice! He handled our luggage for us from the airport to the hotel. Close to all major historic sites! If you don't feel like walking, just take the metro a few blocks from El Cortina.
The breakfast buffet was very good! The waitress would always greet us as we walked in and made us some delicious cappucino! We stayed in a quadruple room! It was beautiful, very upscale! Had an awesome time! Thank you Angelo!

Room Tip: I believe our room no. was no 7. It was lovely and quiet. It opened up into a courtyard. It was righ...

Hotel Cortina arranged private transportation to pick us up at the airport, which made our arrival in Rome so much easier. The hotel is on the first floor, and we walked up with our bags, though a small (of course) elevator is available. Entrance to the hotel is secure and accessed via an intercom. Our room was large, tastefully furnished with an extremely comfortable bed, TV, closet space, in room safe, and good lighting. The shower was great with plenty of hot water, and the window did open for some fresh Rome air. The gentlemen who worked the reception desk were very friendly, spoke excellent english, and helped us with excellent restaurant recommendations nearby, with bus/metro/walking suggestions, and anything we else we needed. The breakfast was in a pleasant room, with cured meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, cereals, bread, croissants, and hot tea, coffee available for those who wanted it. The location, near Piazza Republica, made walking anywhere easy. Overall, a very very very pleasant stay, and we would definitely stay here again. This hotel is a great value for the money.
