“Great location.”
Reviewed 24 February 2013

Don't be fooled by the photos, the hotel is tiny, as are the rooms. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, we had breakfast elsewhere most days. However, the staff was very friendly and the location is hard to beat. The rooms, though small, have been recently updated and are very pleasant. But for the fact that I think it was overpriced, I would definitely return.

what a pleasant surprise! Ideally located a short walk to the Vatican on one side and the Forum/Colusseum on the other. The room was small, but honestly all we look for when we travel is a good bed with white sheets and a hot shower. This hotel exceeded in both! Other reviews complained about the size of the breakfast area. yes it is small but offered more than our friend's hotel 500 meters away at 3 times the price!!!
Everything was updated and we will definitely come back. A steal for the price!!!

Room Tip: white sheets and hot shower

Hidden on a narrow and charming Rome alley, this renovated hotel is a good surprise. Don't worry about the lobby aspect - it seems like an office after some hours of very intense work. People at the other side of the desk (there's no counter) sometimes is friendly, sometimes is not (in the mornings, most of the times, definitely not!). Building is beautiful when you look by the outside, and interiors are quite modern. My room was not as tiny as I presumed before, and furniture is to remind you you are in the capital of Italian design. Just the black carpet I think is too much design-intended for me. Bathroom is new and clean - you know it is quite difficult to find such bathrooms in Italian hotels, so, enjoy. Breakfast is good - not the best, but good - you just need to smile again and again to the waitress to order a new espresso or cappuccino (she makes them; there's no machine at the dining room). Okay, but the really best at this hotel is its location. Close to everything you can choose to visit. Good to walk Rome around by day or by night and to be at reasonable walking distance to safely come back.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel in June with my husband. Our room was not small (around 20 sq meters) but I think that the rooms are all different, as many people say that the room was very small. The location is perfect, we have never taken a bus or taxi, except to go to Piazza di Spagna, that is 40-50 minutes walk. Vatican and Piazza navona is 15 minutes walk, Campo dei Fiori - 5 minutes. It is located on a small nice street in the old town. It is impossible to sleep with open windows as it is too noisy because of the cars and scooters but the air condition system was good.
The breakfasts are very simple, the same every day, and the breakfast room is very small (for 5 rooms max). The greatest dissapointment was the staff - they are really not friendly and helpful, we met only one madam that was nice, the others were uninterested. It is a pity that the staff and service are deteriorating the image of the nice hotel.
That is why my rating is "Average".

The rooms are very small. Even tough they are small, the air condicioning doesnt make a good job keeping it cool. The breakfast is bad. The staff doesnt care.

The wifi is very good tough, the beds are confortable and the small room is quite lovelly, and the location is the best.

But it is too expensive.

Hotel is perfectly located near Piazza Novana and walking distance to all major sights (Vatican City, Pantheon etc.). Rooms were clean and modern and staff was very helpful. Only downside was the hotel did not offer an iron for clothing.

My wife and I spent five nights here in early June. The location was great. A 15 minutes walk (I am over 70 so I walk slow) to the Vatican, approx. the same distance to the Piazza Navona. The Campo De Fiori was in our neighborhood. We walked in the area every evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were small but well decorated and the large windows made the room seem larger. The shower in the bathroom was particularly memorable, it was one of the complete cascade style, which was like standing under a water fall (see picture). The streets are small in this neighborhood, but our cab dropped us right at the front door and the driver placed our bags in the lobby. If you want a four lane highway in front of the hotel, this is not your place. The breakfast room was attractive, but small. The breakfast spread was unusual and my wife enjoyed it, I found it to be adequate.
