“Nice little find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

We recently stayed her for 5 nights in late Oct/13. The property is located just off the crazy tourist areas, but still very close to walk to everything. There currently are only five rooms. The place is spotless, the staff are pleasant, helpful and wonderful. The rates are good by Rome standards. The rooms are air conditioned, a lift to help with luggage and free Wi-Fi. They even give each room an ipad to use while there, nice touch. The included Breakfast was OK. Great cappuccino but they could have better bread. Our room looked out at the US Embassy, which is directly across the road. What a massive property.
My only warning, especially if you are not an early morning person, is that they have purchased the unit below, to add another five rooms and are under going a complete (gutting to the bare walls) renovation. The hammers and drills started VERY early in the morning. Construction had started about a month earlier than our stay. As I was looking for a "quiet" place, ending our one month trip, I was not happy that I was not informed about the construction.
In fairness, after voicing my feelings, the owner offered to try and find us another hotel at the same rate. As this offer was made several days into our stay (and unpacking) we really didn't want to move. She then offered to provide our transfer to the airport and a small rate reduction, which I felt was fair. My guess is that this construction is still months away from completion, so just be advised. Other than the noise, I would be happy to recommend this property.

Room Tip: The room at the back of the hall, not looking out over the street would definitely quitter.

comment from MR Wilson are correct and we are happy he had good time at our Residenza RomaCentro. Just to clarify the restructioring of the Residenza will finish soon and we plan to close the hotel from December 1st till the reopening scheduled at the beginning of 2014 to respect the desire to have a quite stay in Rome of our guests. In any case thanks for Mr Wilson for his understanding and overall positive comments about his stay in our Residenza RomaCentro.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and really enjoyed the place. It is located adjacent to the US Embassy and is central to most attractions, many of which are easily walkable in a half hour or less. The hotel is about a 15 euro cab ride (including luggage and a tip) from Tiburtina railway station and is a bit closer to Termini. The Metro (1.5 euros a trip) is a 5 or 6 minute walk. Lots of restaurants in the area and the hotel staff were happy to provide recommendations for ones that were not too expensive. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are a good size by European standards. Nice clean bathrooms and a good continental breakfast. The best part of the hotel is the staff who seem to be all young ladies who all speak good English. They are happy to make reservations and provide advice and directions. There are only about 5 rooms in the hotel and no big sign outside - the taxi drivers though seem to have no problem finding it. Let them know approximately what time you will be arriving since the front desk is not staffed all the time. They arranged a car to the airport for us. It cost 50 Euros compared to about 45 euros for the train to Termini and a cab to the hotel (for 2 people) - the private car was well worth the few extra euros. All in all a great hotel for a very reasonable price.

We spent 4 nights in RRC in October 2013 and it was a really nice stay! A very good bedroom/bathroom as well as good localization and nice breakfast. We did everything on foot! The staff is really helpful, giving a lot of tips (including a map of good restaurants!) and always ready to any request. We really recommend it!

We had a very nice experience at this hotel, very well located, the girls in charge and the manager couldn't be nicer and helpful, they give you an I pad as soon as you arrive, the rooms and bathrooms are impeccable and the breakfast buffet was a delight full of delicious things.
Without a doubt we would go back to this hotel.

We booked the Residenza RomaCentro for four nights in September, based on the excellent reviews it had received on Trip Advisor and booking.com and were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Termini station in a quiet and safe area of Rome near the US Embassy. The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, 30 minutes from the Colosseum and just under an hour from the Vatican. We walked everywhere during our stay as we felt this was the best way to see the city, but if you wish to get the Metro, Barberini is a five minute walk from the hotel. Residenza RomaCentro is located in a beautiful residential building with lots of period features. When we arrived, we were greeted by name and given a map of Rome and lots of helpful information regarding the tourist attractions and good areas to eat and drink. Our room was a good size and furnished to a high standard with a large double bed, safe, minibar, air conditioning, large flatscreen TV and even teabags which is unusual to find in a European hotel! We were also given an iPad, which was very handy to have during our stay and the wifi was excellent. Our bathroom was huge with an excellent shower and Jacuzzi bath. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and varied and included cold meat and cheese, pastries, fruit, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit juice and coffee. The staff at Residenza RomaCentro were extremely friendly and helpful and even printed off our tickets to the Vatican and allowed us to store our suitcases on our final day for a couple of hours once we had checked out, with no extra charge. We could not fault the Residenza RomaCentro and its staff, it was excellent value for money and we would without doubt recommend the hotel to friends and family.

We stayed at Roma Centro in Aug for 2 nights.

First the things we liked about this place - Excellent service at the reception from extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was good. One surprise element for us was the ipad given for every room.

Now the things we disliked - The location is about 10-12mins walk from the nearest bus or train station. Our biggest grouse though was that the room size was very small, such that fitting 2 big suitcases and trying to walk around the room was a challenge.

We would recommend it only for singles and couples only due to the space constraint and also walking needed.

We went here last July and it was amazing. The breakfast is super, it has everything you could look for in a buffet sort of style in a small cozy kitchen/dining room. We stayed there for four nights. Our AC broke on the second night and when they could not repair it they offered to book us another hotel and help us move but we really liked our place so they got us a very nice fan and did not charge us for bringing us to the airport (which was a very nice car ride). The room was cozy and bathroom was a really good size. The wifi was really amazing on both the ipads they lend you and my own laptop. It is close to a few really nice restaurants we asked the very nice girl working there and she told us awesome out of the way places to go. (and if you are a North American and you are missing home it is a five minute or so walk from a very fancy McD's). It is in a nice neighborhood, right across from the American embassy and I felt safe the whole time we were there. It is up the street from a train entrance and not too far of a walk from everything. We left and had no trouble walking to all of the major tourist sites in one day from our hotel. Also during the walk you see so many amazing things that are never in tourist books because there is so much to see in Rome.
