The Teatro dei Satiri is a historical theatre that presents Italian language productions. From Shakespeare to modern Comedies, its rich presentations are always a must for any locals, or perhaps the Italian speaking visitor. However it is worth passing by, if only to see that it actually stands on the ruins of a 64bc theatre, quite famous as it was the final place Julius Caesar walked before being struck down. Be sure to pop in to the nearby bar Grottapinta, which too has foundations dating to the theatre and which are visible when having a drink, seeing as the entire bar is made of ancient ruins.
