We were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine and a genuine smile. All the staff were friendly, helpful and provided good suggestions when asked. The food and the wine were really good. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anybody.

The place is not necessarily cheap but worth every penny. Alessandro Tissino - the chef and the soul of this place gave us the best of his hospitality and charm (his English BTW is absolutely fluent - for sure better than mine, he also speaks French and I believe a few more languages). The food was simply delicious - one of the best grilled tuna I ever tasted. The same is true about the salads, deserts, wine, everything we received there. Highly recommended.

By far one of our best dining experiences in Rome. Interesting menu, great prices and amazing food. We started with mussels with ginger, they were delicious and they even had gluten free breads for my wife, who is celiac. We then shared octopus salad and gluten free pasta with lemon and sea bass that was incredible as well. Our server was very friendly and brought several little complimentary appetizers as well as 2 glasses of prosecco when he found out it was our honeymoon. Best service we have had in Rome!

We fell upon this wonderful restaurant by chance on our last evening in Rome. We were looking for somewhere special that offered more than just pizza and pasta. We found it at Cozze & Dintorni. The chef/owner was extremely attentive, informative and modest. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We ordered for starters octopus salad, mussels with wine and mussels with ginger. The octopus salad was one of the best we have ever eaten and the mussels were wonderful. The Spaghetti Vongole was tasty and light and the clams beautifuly cooked and the Spaghetti with sea bass and lemon was superb. The local wine was excellent and the dessert of Cozze's own take on apple crumble, a delight. Our ten year old daughter asked for the recipe, which was kindly given to her by the hospitable and gracious owner. We ate well in Rome but this was certainly the very best meal we ate during our week long stay.

We were 6 Americans with our 3 Roman cousins. The staff was great. The chef even came to our table personally a couple of times to make sure that everything was right. We started with cozze, octopus salad, and baccala'. Everything was very good, but the octopus salad took the prize, and we were all pleasantly surprised with the baccala' which was prepared in a way I hadn't seen before. We ordered 2 first dishes, served family style. One was paccheri with squid. The other linguine with squid and prawns. Both had a thick buttery, almost creamy, sauce that had a little spice to it. The second dishes, also family style, were an assortment of flash fried whole fishes and more squid. Everything was delicious. Dessert was a ginger-based drink topped with a crema, served in a champagne flute -- spicy and refreshing. It may have been the best meal we had during a 16-day visit through Positano, Calabria, and Rome.
