“Very best part of our Rome visit”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

Truly, we added Rome to our Italian itinerary, just so we could once again stay at Hotel Campo de Fiori (4th time). We chose room 601 which has a small balcony and an unbeatable view--red tile roofs, steeple, bell towers, and St. Peter's Basilica. The location is marvelous--we walk everywhere we visit. The hotel staff is welcoming and helpful. All requests are met with a smile. Valentina is a treasure. Breakfast is very good and plentiful.

Room Tip: 601 has the view I mention. It is way above our normal nightly stay, but we do not pay for 5 star a...

Dear guest,

Your title is the most important compliment that one can give us especially being Rome one of the Worlds most important tourist destinations!,

“Very best part of our Rome visit”

What makes your review so important is that you state to have stayed with us 4 times and you have always remained of the same opinion and that is max (5 points). Our staff is certainly a plus to the hotel and sees to it that all works out perfectly this way a stay is not just a stay but an unforgettable experience and with you it has been selecting us for 4 times!
I suggest to our future guests to take a look at our website to see exactly what the writer is referring to when referring to an unbeatable view. On the website you may already begin to taste the fleur of Hotel Campo de’ Fiori from our photos which represent a real vision of the hotel, rooms, roof top terrace descriptions and locations. I would also like to say that there is a lot more than just the facilities and location, there is our staff!
Thank you once again for your review and I’m certainly hoping to have you with us for the 5th time this way you will be able to rest up and enjoy after a years’ hard work a fabulous vacation.

We stayed here as my husbands birthday present and I was absolutely delighted with my choice! The hotel is in a perfect location, we walked one day to the Vatican and one day to the Colosseum, all the major attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is so pretty, inside and out. The only possible negative I can think of is the room is a little small, but the comfort and decadent stylings more than make up for it. The room and lovely bathroom were spotlessly clean. We had a street facing room and we weren't troubled by any noise at all. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The breakfast is only continental, which considering how much we ate the rest of the day, a cooked breakfast was not necessary, and the continental selection was great. The staff were all really lovely and extremely helpful. We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Dear Guest,
Reading your review I found it as another confirmation of our facilities and services offered as a top offer therefore I will not enter into it being so complete and positive in its’ description. I would like to instead highlight that all should take a look at our website which has been studied and offered on a no complicated level but at the same moment gives a complete view of all that we represent with real and exact photos, descriptions, location including itineraries that we suggest to all. We also indicate the best way to reach the hotel from the major airports as well as our special rate offers which can only be found on our official website so I do suggest to all to take a look at it and select what is best for them.
Once again thank you for the beautiful words,
“Absolutely fabulous!”, perfect location, really lovely and extremely helpful, extremely comfortable.” The best is your final phrase,

“We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again!”
I do hope to see you once again in the future,
Warmest regards,

Our group of 11 friend all enjoyed their stay at this hotel. As others have pointed out, the location couldn't be better for walking all around Rome. We ate a couple of times in Trastevere for dinner and the walk across Ponte Sisto is only about 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly and all speak good English -- indeed some are English or American (Matteo and Adam for example). Valentina is a kick and very helpful, as are the others. The rooftop area was a great plus for us since we could all convene after busy days and have wine and snacks before going out to dinner. And what a view in the evenings with the monuments all laid out below! Contrary to a couple of others, we did not think the breakfasts were very good, especially the eggs. But the service was pleasant here as well. The biggest downside: the horrid decoration with gilt cupids and swags and crystal chandeliers everywhere. Ugh. My room was 603 and it was very small, even as a solo traveler. But other things made up for these negatives and I believe we would all stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the higher floors are definitely worth the cost as they have views.

Dear Guest,
Having received a positive review from a guest that has written 47 hotel reviews is truly confirming that our way of hosting is on the right road. You have nominated our location which is unbeatable being close to all major sites as well as a restaurant and pub area called Trastevere. Our staff being a multilanguaged staff does its’ utmost to see to it that all proceeds in the right direction suggesting the right restaurants, pizzerias and tours this way removing some of the decision work. Regarding the room furnishings, all is decorated in a luxury way and of course all is opinion regarding furnishing tastes where as you maybe don’t like it so much but most do. At this point I do want to take advantage to highlight to all of our future and non future guests to take a look at our website where one may see photos of our rooms as well as descriptions. It also highlights tors, airport pick up services as well as other interesting facts which all will find helpful and interesting. Thanking you for having taken time out to write a review,
Warmest regards,

Overall the location was fantastic at Hotel Camp De' Fiori. I rented what turned out to be an apartment on the top floor right off the plaza. Once I orientated myself in the city it was a great location to walk to all of the major sites. The staff was very helpful and spoke great English. Food options were mostly tourist traps, but that could be said about the majority of Rome as there are so many options and it is primarily a tourist based city. They staff organized a tour and car service for me that worked out the best, especially since the airport is so far from the location and the small alley streets make curb side delivery a must.

Dear Guest,
“Unique stay in heart of Rome”
A title which indicates particularity while staying with us in comparison to other hotels. Our location is perfect for all wants of our guests. I do suggest since you refer to tourist traps to not heshitate and come to the reception for indications to non touristy restaurants just as you did regarding the airport car service and private tour. I’m sure having requested some info regarding restaurants we would have been able to indicate something that you would appreciated just as we did for other services especially since they all speak excellent English. One thing I'm having trouble to understand, is why four poionts instead of 5 points?
Once again thanking you for the review,
Best regards,
F. Severino

This is a wonderful hotel and we would return without question. However, some details of our visit will help you plan:
Three friends, all in our 60's, stayed in one of four apartments owned by the hotel, in a building on the opposite side of the large piazza called Campo dei Fiori. The apartment was modern, spacious and comfortable with a bedroom, bath, living area with sectional sofa, (one piece of which was a single bed), a large chair, plus huge bar in front of the kitchen area. However, you should know before you reserve that the building does not have an elevator. We were on the third floor, up a narrow and steep staircase. Hotel staff carry your luggage up and down, but still you think twice before making the climb more than twice a day.
In addition, guide books tell you the piazza has a lively night scene. Indeed it does, but unfortunately for those in the apartments, they are located directly over a bar where young people carry on loudly until 2-3am. We stayed four nights, Thursday-Monday, and those in the bedroom were disturbed all four nights.
That said, Campo de' Fiori is a perfect location for walking to the Trastevere area, the Piazza de Navona, the ancient ruins and more. Taxis are easy to find, and the square has bakeries, a good deli, cafes, and a colorful daily market. Hotel staff were exceptionally responsive to our needs both through email ahead of our visit, and while we were there. Do not miss a sunset drink on the rooftop terrace which is very attractive and thoughtfully laid out.

Dear guest,
I noticed that you stayed in one of our apartments. All of our apartments are furnished with all modern comforts from free WiFi, A/C, daily cleaning and much more. Regarding elevators, the whole area being of the 1400’s do not have elevators not being allowed by the city of Rome to maintain the ancient structures. I would like to indicate to all to take a look at our Website where you can find descriptions, photos and locations of all of our facilities as well as special offers regarding the rates. This is a must to all that would like to stay with us. Regarding the hustle and bustle on the Piazza and streets well this is part of the liveliness of the area and this is one of the reasons why it is famous. One should maybe close the sound proof windows to keep out the noise but in any case I am pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. As you indicate in your title,
“Ideal Location, Great Staff”

Hotel is tucked away behind busy Campo De Fiori. It is small and very romantic, the ideal spot if boutique is what you are looking for.

We had the very top room-- small but so charming and beautifully decorated. The only downside is that the all wood floors require special cleanser and the hotel smells strongly of vinegar in the afternoon while they are cleaning. I guess the upside is you know that it's clean.

The rooftop was an enjoyable place to relax with a bottle of wine and enjoy the scenic views.

Room Tip: The elevator only goes to the fourth floor but there are rooms on five. The square can be noisy at n...

Dear Guest,
Your review highlights the location as well as our rooms. Regarding the vinegar smell, the chambermaids utilize this because being a natural cleaning product and it eliminates all in a better way while not bringing allergies to our guests since many have allergies to unnatural cleaning products. Also vinegar is the best disinfectant and not harmful and usually the smell dissipates quickly.
Our roof top is one of our major attractions and I’m very happy to see that you enjoyed it as well.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and loved it both times. The staff is friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is small, charming and beautifully appointed. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and had its own private terrace. The view from our terrace was magnificent. The breakfast is served downstairs in what they call the library room and the staff is very polite and accommodating. The Campo de Fiori market is right downstairs. From the hotel, you can walk to just about all the attractions you want to see in Rome.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 602 on the top floor. We had our own terrace. The room was great, but be aware tha...
