“An affordable gem in the perfect location...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

This boutique hotel is located in the heart of the main attractions (between Vatican City and the Colosseum, each just a 30 minute walk). The hotel is made perfect by the very friendly staff and lavish interior decorations. We were very happy with our room (#504) because it was quiet, nicely and uniquely decorated, and had a small balcony with a view of the adjacent buildings. If you like quiet during the night, simply request an available room that does not face the piazza nearby. I mention this because of the other reviews I've read. The maid thoroughly cleaned the room every morning and also organized our belongings for us, which was a nice surprise! There is a safe in the room where your valuables can be stored. The multi-level rooftop terrace provides a great view of the city and has plenty of seating for hotel guests. Breakfast is complimentary in the mornings inside the beautifully decorated breakfast room where the varied selection is prepared fresh every morning. Breakfast includes cereal, cold cuts, cheeses, bread, eggs, sausage, jellies and jams, coffee (American, espresso, cappuccino, etc.), all high quality. Large hotel franchises are put to shame in every aspect of accommodation and service. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms on the 5th and 6th floors are larger in size and lavishly decorated. If you like quiet...

Dear Guest,
It is truly pleasing to read your review and I would like to highlight the one phrase which for me indicates that you have a very refined and acute sense of observation,
“Large hotel franchises are put to shame in every aspect of accommodation and service.”
This is an aspect which we try to emphasize because it isn’t of little importance!
Obviously being located in the historical centre, the building is of historical importance meaning that you may not have the huge sizes of the normal standard large hotel franchises which are all located outside of the historical centre but we do stand out in other aspects such as our warm and professional hosting with our facilities having all of the modern comforts which a traveler seeks. The unbeatable location offered as well as the elegance.
Our hotel although offering the max of all that one seeks while travelling offers normal rates and on our website one may even select special offers which best fit them. Your title,
“An affordable gem in the perfect location...”
I would also like to say that it is pleasing that you appreciated our unbeatable roof top terrace as well as our breakfast which offers a variety to select from and of course not to mention least, the rooms which are cleaned every day in the same manner meaning thoroughly. Concluding with your last phrase,
“I highly recommend this hotel.”
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

Couldn't have been a more enjoyable stay. The rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. I was impressed at how well sound proofed the rooms actually were considering campo de fiori is definitely the place to be late on Friday and Saturday nights. No trouble sleeping and the beds were extraordinarily comfortable. The daily fresh market was entertaining and gives a fresh taste of local culture. The real gems of the hotel were the staff....really enjoyed chatting with them and they were eager to offer advise on good local food options and what to do and not to do in Rome. They even helped me make arrangements for arrival into our second hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to even the most particular traveler. I will for sure see them again should my travels bring me through Rome in the future.

Dear Guest,
The title,
“What a fun hotel!!!”
Expresses our way of thinking regarding our hosting. For us it is not a job but what we love to do with passion and joy and at the same moment keeping in mind to be very professional and you have perfectly captured the essence of our hosting. Our staff is always there to suggest and help all of our guests and as you state,
“The real gems of the hotel were the staff....really enjoyed chatting with them and they were eager to offer advise….”
As you do indicate, all of our rooms are with total sound proof which permits to sleep well and be ready for the following day. You write,
“I was impressed at how well sound proofed the rooms actually were considering Campo de Fiori is definitely the place to be late on Friday and Saturday nights. No trouble sleeping”.
Closing with the 2 last sentences,
“Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to even the most particular traveler. I will for sure see them again should my travels bring me through Rome in the future.”
I answer with, it will be a real pleasure to be able to host you once again.
Warmest regards,

If you consider booking this hotel - stop considering and just DO it. This hotel is unique in many ways. The rooms are cosy and clean, the rooftop view is breath taking. (you enjoy Rome in 360 degrees) and the staff is extreemly helpful. Especially the hotel manager Valentina is absolutely wonderful.
So don´t think - GO!

Dear guest,
Your title,
“Simply excellent in all ways”
These few words sum up all of the voices which a hotel covers. Your direct input,
“If you consider booking this hotel - stop considering and just DO it.”
During our renovation which came about 7 years ago, we saw to it that all possible comforts should be included giving it a special tone using elegance, cosiness and other necessities such a free WiFi etc.
Our terrace which is highly appreciated by all of our guests is an extra which our guests do not pay for but is a treat which is offered. A real site in itself! Infact, numerous professional shootings have been taken on our terrace.
Our staff, is of the highest level having been selected not in a hurry but selecting among the numerous requests.
I would like to take this moment to remind to all that we are located in the real historical centre of ancient Rome. Where all of the most famous and historical characters have passed in one way or another. Imagine walking on the same streets and seeing the same things that Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Julius Caesar and many others touched and saw!
Concluding with your last words,
“So don´t think - GO!”
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

Most of the feedback has been said in the other reviews; great location, great atmosphere, tidy rooms, romantic, very suitable for couples. Maybe one possible area for improvement is breakfast. It was not bad, but let's say we did not wait to get there.

But overall very good choice if you want to be located in middle of everything in a high class hotel with personal flavor.

Dear Guest,
With your review you have covered all aspects of your stay also mentioning And confirming what other guests have written in their reviews. This is a perfect re-confirmation when it is confirmed by another guest. What does leave me perplexed
Is that all is perfect and you do not apply a 5 point review but a 4 point. I can only attribute this to the fact that we are a cozy boutique hotel and not a big chain hotel with immense spaces but in alternative to this we offer, a special staff that sees to it that all is looked after for our guests and that all feel at home. This I believe is the most important thing which cannot be found in a big hotel asides the fact that most big hotel are not centrally located in ancient cities but on the outskirts and just for these two facts I believe we should receive a 5 point review being all the rest more than perfect. Hope to have you with us in the future so that you will take into consideration my highlights and apply a 5 point review.
Thanking you once again,
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

We stayed in this fabulous hotel for four nights in February. We stayed in a hotel room for the first night as there was a problem with the plumbing in the apartments. While the room was small it was adequate for the three of us as it was for just one night. The apartment was lovely, very spacious and ideal for our group (two adults and a 16 year old). While there was a little noise from the square, which we expected, it did not disturb us at all.

I would highly recommend this hotel for its very friendly staff who booked tickets for a tour for us, organised a car to collect us at the airport and recommended restaurants for us. The location was perfect and within walking distance to all major attractions. A perfect place to stay for our days out in Rome.

Dear guest,
Beginning with your title,
“Highly Recommend”
Is the best way to highlight our hotel within a few words. It is also pleasing to read that you stayed in both our apartments as well as in the hotel. Obviously the hotel room is just a little bit smaller when referring to 3 guests but we do always suggest for commodity reasons to reserve our apartments which are all big, clean and central as our hotel. As you do state,
“The apartment was lovely, very spacious and ideal for our group”
All of our apartments have all modern comforts including free WiFi and daily cleaning. Your descriptions as following,
“We stayed in this fabulous hotel”,” I would highly recommend this hotel for its very friendly staff”,” The location was perfect”. Concluding with,
“A perfect place to stay for our days out in Rome.”
Your 7 hotel reviews add meaning to your (5 point, max) review having traveling ecperience. We do hope to have you with us in the future,
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

Chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor hotel- stayed in Feb for 3 nights in one of the top floor deluxe room with balcony (Room 602).

Location-
Hotel is based in the corner of Campo de Fiori- extremely convenient; about 20 minute walk to the Vatican; 10 min to Fountain de Trevi; <10 min to Piazza Navona; 15 min to Spanish steps. Campo de fiori itself is a market by day, and busy place for people to meet at night! Cannot fault the location.

Hotel-
Extremely pretty- very traditional furnishings. Personally I find it beautiful. See pictures.
Took the hotels advice and booked the Green line tours for the Vatican tour- despite bad reviews on tripadvisor it turned out very well.

Room-
Stayed in top floor, in one of the rooms with balcony.
The view of 602 is towards Piazza Venezia (see photo); the terrace is beautiful and moderately sized.
Personally I love the room- so unique; so romantic.
The hotel room is not the biggest- if one prefers huge rooms this is not the hotel for you.
It has a bathroom with a stand-in shower; shower gel and shampoo is provided.
Bed was soft- the room has excellent soundproofing.

Breakfast-
Takes place from about 0730- 1030 in the basement. It has coffee/tea; juices (from concentrate); scrambled eggs, sausages, cheeses, cold cuts, bread, pastries, fruits and yoghurt.

Overall a very pleasurable stay.

Room Tip: choose room 601/602- totally worth it

Dear guest,
I noticed that you have written 10 reviews on hotels and this offers you a major experience regarding hotel staying. Your very detailed review broken down according to voice is very direct. Under each voice you have given us a max appraisal and this for us is worth more than just one review having such experience. For example,
“Location- Cannot fault the location, Room- Bed was soft- the room has excellent soundproofing, Hotel- Personally I find it beautiful. Concluding with your title,

“Beautiful romantic hotel; convenient location”.
I would also like to highlight that staying with us one actually is staying in the history of Rome being the structure a 1400’s construction and as one if selects to take the staircase to go to the floors, one will notice the actual historical importance of the building being able to see and even touch the ancient brick and stone work of that period and also admire fragments and a column of ancient roman marble which al pieces belonged to the ancient Roman theatre of Pompei. One needs to also realize that staying in the Campo de’ Fiori area you are experiencing what romans did thousands of years ago and are walking on streets which most likely existed previously as well.
Thanking you for your max review,
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

Rome, the city of love and adventure. The hotel was an addition to the entire experience too. The old red royal draping and interior made me feel like one of the queens in Europe. The place was like Casablanca’s apartment and the patio had such a lovely view. I love being in the place. It made me feel like being able to live the past and experience what the old royals had. Such a lovely place. The bathroom had a different feel too because of the unique setup.
