“Apartments at Hotel Campo De Fiori”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

My 3 daughters and I stayed at the Hotel Campo De Fiori last summer (end of July) and we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. We found the hotel staff very accommodating and the Apartment was wonderful. We had no issue that we were 1 minute away from the hotel and the square, had no issues with our air conditioning (the staff showed us how to drain the units when they become full). We used the rooftop deck of the Hotel on a couple of evenings and it was beautiful. We all would strongly recommend this hotel to any and all. We have no plans to stay anywhere else upon our next visit to Roma. Thank you for the wonderful visit.

Dearest guest,

I would like to express my thankfulness for your amazing review. We are so pleased that you have chosen our Boutique Hotel for your first commentary.

“We found the hotel staff very accommodating and the Apartment was wonderful.”

Having selected one of our apartments I believe this is a great solution because our flats do offer space with all modern comforts, and the staff, that is every time at your service 24h, is always glad to help our guests with suggestions for restaurants in the area, or any other doubt or queries you will have during your stay with us.

“We used the rooftop deck of the Hotel on a couple of evenings and it was beautiful”

That is our strong suit. The 360° Rooftop Terrace that we have on the 6th floor of our Boutique Hotel, where you can see all the city and join whatever you want from outside, like a good glass of wine watching the sunset, best feeling in the world!

Let me conclude with your state: “We all would strongly recommend this hotel to any and all.”,
hoping to have you once again as our guest in a close future and thanking you again for your outstanding review!

Warmest regards,

F. Severino

Warm and welcoming front desk service from young staff who are justly proud of this lovely little hotel and take their time to offer more than just the room key and the bill. Great location, fantastic rooftop terrace, romantic rooms and excellent breakfast - what more can you ask except one night's stay was way too short. The baroque treatment of the television in room 102 was very amusing (to us anyway).

Dear guest,

As you state one night is way too short but even though you only stayed with us for one night you were able ti understand our hosting, our location as well as our elegant rooms. This means that the next time you are in Rome you will need to stay for more than just one night!
To sum up your review some quotes by you,
“Great location, fantastic rooftop terrace, romantic rooms and excellent breakfast”.

Thank you for your positive review,
Warmest regards,

What a fabulous boutique hotel and breakfast. The terrace is beautiful at night. We found this lovely hotel through the Walks of Italy tours. The hotel is close to everything. The staff is so warm and friendly and that was the best part to feel like family. Valentina, the Queen, keeps all of her men in line. The staff kept in contact with us before coming through emails and Facebook and very promptly. They had great restaurant suggestions and took care of all of our transfers, which were punctual with excellent drivers. We dream of coming back because the staff is so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Campo because you will not be disappointed.they also welcomed us with a bottle and snacks upon arrival and then a sampling of three kinds of olive oil , when departing. Love everything about Campo!❤️❤️❤️

A stylish boutique hotel in a great location in the historical centre of Rome. Friendly staff who are keen to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping nearby. Walking distance to all the major sights. Comfortable beds and good soundproofing means you won't be disturbed. Lovely breakfast room and a roof top terrace with amazing views over Rome. Not cheap but we felt it was worth the expensive.

Room Tip: I would have preferred a room away from the elevator.

My wife and I just returned from a 5-night stay in Rome. Campo was a perfect hotel for us. It is situated in the middle of, and within a 20 to 30 minute walk to all the major sites. The piazza is right around the corner and has a daily market and is very lively at nighttime. Other great piazzas are just a few minutes walk away. Our room was was quiet (we were in a room right next to the elevator and never heard a thing), beds were comfortable and the staff kept it clean. A mini-fridge helped keep our snacks and drinks cool for our nightly visit to the rooftop terrace. From the terrace you can see for miles and watch the sunset over St Peters and the Vatican, while at the same time hearing the sounds and smelling the wonderful aromas coming up from the piazza and talking with other guests about their day of sightseeing. They offer a substantial breakfast that got us off to a good start. The staff was there to answer all of our questions from where to get a quick bit to eat to making arrangements for our car to the airport. If we ever make it back to Rome Campo will be our first choice.

I chose this hotel for our recent trip because a friend had stayed there. What a great find!
For us Campo de Fiori was the perfect site. As walkers it allowed us to use our 3 day stay to the max. One day to the Forum, Colosseum and St. Peter in Chains. Day 2 the Sunday Papal Address and then a walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Nuovona and Piazza de Popoli. Day 3 back to the Vatican for the Museums.

The Campo is a short walk to Travestere for dining and a look at neighborhoods and sites often missed (like San Pietro in Montorio).

On top of all that, I later find out my brother and sister-in-law stayed there a few years back as well. They must have good taste like me!

The rooms are small, but I have to tell you, my general experience of Italy is that rooms are small. But we never felt cramped! We were there the weekend of the World Cup Soccer finals and the Campo restaurants were packed and accommodating both tourists and locals as the games were broadcast. It provided a vibrant atmosphere. The staff is great, patient with tourists, probably more patient than I would be!

For some the area might be a bit loud, but for gosh sakes you are in a city. What do you expect?
This is on my A list of places to stay.

Dear guest,

reading your review, one cannot not notice that you have written more than one review so tyhis alone allows you to judge corectly where you have stayed. Another two things that I have found amazing is that a friend of yours has stayed with us but alsao your brother in law and you didn't even know this! Now this is a triple confirmation that all of our guests really do write real reviews and also is a re-confirmation that we do our duties properly and at the best level possible since 3 different couples have the same opinion meaning top voting 5 max!
I need to say what I always say that visiting a major ancient city like Rome, one needs to always keep in consideration that you are staying in a historicl building like ours meaning 1400's! Big space means outskirts of the city not the historical center! The noise, well we do have sound proof windows therefore no noise enters and as you say,
"For some the area might be a bit loud, but for gosh sakes you are in a city. What do you expect?
This is on my A list of places to stay."
Thanking you for your max review and we will be expecting you with us in the future if you ever decide to return to Rome!
Warmest regards,
F. Severino

The best part of this hotel was the location - right in Campo De' Fiori, a 20 minute walk to basically everything. The staff was very good and helpful, and the market and restaurants close by were vibrant and fun.

The rooms were small and kind of cramped; the hallways and elevator were also tiny. It had a romantic feel, but wasn't really our style. And this is an odd nitpicky comment but the cleaning solution they used smelled really bad and lingered throughout the hotel at all hours.

Overall a decent boutique hotel; some people will really love it. Just wasn't for us.

Dearest Guest,

We are delighted for you to appreciate the best parts of our service, which are our “location”, the staff, “very good and helpful”.

“The rooms were small and kind of cramped; the hallways and elevator were also tiny”: to look is not to see. Our building, with hundreds of years of age, has the privilege of being nestled in the most authentic historic area, surrounded by other historic buildings and churches of preciousness, which hence are pieces of history and, as such, cannot be touched. If you would like to spend some days in the Ancient Rome, you need to feel empathic with the atmosphere you are going to get into. Also, our rooms are fully pursuant to the size imposed by European regulations.

Further, “the cleaning solution they used smelled really bad”: we do use the best products to clean our rooms and the hotel all around.

I take this opportunity to recommend you and all our readers to visit our website in order to get special offers about our rooms and to rely upon our staff, always able to realize the real purpose of your trip in the eternal city, first by arranging pick-up services from and to the airport, and then by reserving guided tours to the main sights, so which is the only way to avoid the long lines.
In the name of the whole staff, we would like to thank you for the time spent with us and wait for your comeback to Rome.

A good traveler is one who knows how to travel with the mind.

Warmest regards

F. Severino
