“Great English Speaking Tour Guide”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We travelled by Metro and local bus from Rome. The tour was well paced and the guide spoke very good English and had interesting facts which he delivered in an easily understood manner with humour

We stopped here on our bikes - English tour that finishes in the church – nice tour that encompasses the rich history of the Catecombe. One of the largest in Rome – memorable and fascinating!

“Interesting part of roman/catholic history”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We were going to see some more famous catacombs but they were closed so we trekked down the road to these which were open. 8 euro entry fee included the tour guide and tour. The tour was in English but several other languages were offered. The tour is about 30 minutes but with the prep, wait and church afterward, it was about an hour. Take a cab from the metro or risk walking on narrow Italian streets. Tour guide was difficult to understand and thee English group was very large which took away from the experience. Cool in the catacombs. Homage to st. Sebastiano, whose history is gleaned from placards scattered about and the tour guide.

“very interesting”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

I was not going to visit the catacombs because I thought it would be too "creepy", however after my husband took a tour, I changed my mind based on his recommendation. It wasn't "creepy" at all- it was very interesting and the tour guide was informative. You can see burial sites from the 1-3 centuries, including pagan burial areas. Worth a trip!

“Historic visit of Christendom's roots”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

A visit to the catacombs is a very religious experience as you walk on the grounds where the early Christian martyrs and saints were buried. This is a short thirty minute guided tour. If you are a very serious person of faith, if you could arrange for a private tour then you would enjoy it more.
