“that's where you realize how big Rome is”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Luckily we drove all the way up to the top of the hill. This place is among the few great locations that offer such a view of Rome. You literally breathe more freely there.

Also you can play a fun game: recognize all the landmarks you can see from this hill.

“Best View in Rome”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

A great view. A few cafe trucks so you can linger over a coffee. Be ready to hike up and down, though, as taxi cabs don't frequent the top of the hill. There is public transportation which works fairly well if you have a transport map and know where you are going.

“Views are amazing”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

This place is about a 30 min walk from the Main Termini train station. Wear comfortable shoes such as sneakers! as the streets are mostly paved in stones....hard on your feet! I wore sandals and the bottom of my feet were sore. The site is beautiful and not far from the Colloseum as well. Great views. Well worth the walk

“Very nice view of Rome”

Scenic view of Rome and nice walk if you don't mind having to go uphill first. Some churches and monuments to see on tthe way up as well.

“The Views are Worth the Trek!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

The Gianicolo has some of the most stunning views of Rome, and while it may be a little difficult to get to for some tourists, it is definitely worth the long walk or bus ride. I especially love being there at noon, when they set off a ceremonial canon, which you can't normally hear in the city due to all of the traffic and noise. A wonderful and relaxing area to walk around and enjoy in Rome!
