Good location, on a quiet street. All modern and well decorated room with nice picture of Audrey Hepburn. Excellent service and friendly staff. Well worth the money.

Location: lovely area above above the Spanish Steps & near the Borghese Park (if struggling to locate Via Aurora, its near the US Embassy). Its on a fairly quiet side street so a good night's sleep can be had even if like us, you sleep with the windows open - all we could hear was the fountain in nearby park/garden. Having said that, it is within easy walking distance of all the main sites - we chose to walk everywhere but could just as easily have caught a tram.

Rooms: I think we had a 'superior' room, which was reasonably spacious (approx. 20 sq m) and beautifully designed (timber floor/leather bed/planed veneer wall panels/designer lighting etc). it was very clean with good quality bedding and large shower room that was kitted out with nice finishes + sanitary ware.

Hotel: Again beautifully designed and very clean. I think different people have different expections of a 4* hotel. I was only staying for 3-nights and was looking for clean, comfortable, unassuming, so the Berg met my expectations. However, this is a very small hotel and I suspect that it might not suit all travellors, especially if staying for longer or travelling with children becuase the level of service, although pleasant, was quite understated and the bar is little more than a cupboard - fine for most travellers who are probably happy to go out and experience rome, but when we used to travel with our children, i preferred a hotel with a bar/restaurant so that i had the option of having a drink on the premises if desired.

Food: We didn't try the room service. The breakfast wasn't especially memorable but was fresh and reasonably varied and although things were topped up, they were not topped up as efficiently as they might have been, particularly the eggs and we were only offered one coffee each, which we thought a bit mean though presumably we could have requested more.

Note: there are two or three restaurants on the same street as the hotel. we had a very good meal (though not the cheapest meal we had in Rome) at the Roman Cucina next door but one. the one directly next to the hotel also looked pleasant and was also quite cheap but as taxi loads of italians seem to flock to the roman cucina, we decided on that one.

The Berg is a clean, comfortable, attractively designed hotel in a lovely area and on the whole, we were very happy with our choice.

In a side-street in the Via Veneto area, this is a boutique hotel with a cosy feel. We stayed in a small suite, with lovely decor, very modern. The only issue we had with it was with the shower and that was fixed the next day.
The breakfast room is small but big enough for the clientele. The bar is *very* small, but this is Rome - what are you doing staying the hotel bar? The area is top-notch and therefore very pricey. But its an easy walk to the Spanish Steps and beyond where the eateries are slightly less prenetious.
Friendly and helpful staff.
We loved the place and will go back

Room Tip: If you are bothered about the view - ask for a front facing room, but bear in mind you are on a side street anyway

Great experience for a very reasonable price! Brand new hotel in a heart of Rome but still in a very quiet street, which enables a good rest after long hours of sightseeing.
Each of the rooms has a different movie theme and rooms are very clean.
At first we've stayed in a suite for couple of nights which was beyond our expectations.
Specious room divided into two parts, with a huge bathroom, separate closet and a view of the park. Food in the hotel was very good (simple Italian breakfast, excellent room service!), but the dining room is pretty small. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Front desk employees helped us to plan transportation for the rest of the trip. We loved it so much that after one week of traveling down the south we came back for the last night before our flight back home. This time we stayed in a double standard room (Audrey Hepburn style) which was also very specious with huge bathroom. The view was a little worse ;-).
We recommended this hotel to everybody and we will stay there when next time in Rome!

rooms was fantastic but view was onto inner courtyard very boring.
even though advertised there is no parking.
reception and breakfast room were was small.
This did not feel like a hotel but a series of rooms connected by a lift from reception,
great quality but would not call it a roman experience
