“Modern Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

This is a real good hotel , it's very modern and elegant in design with real large rooms and large bathrooms with real good air conditioning.
Comparing to other hotels in the same category and location in Rome , it's only a10 minutes walk to the Spanish steps and a10 minutes from the famous via vinito , I would definitely stay there when I come to Rome.
As for the price , it's considerably fear for hotels in the same area and with the same benefits.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: All the rooms are big and modern

This is a small boutique hotel in a great location. We were in Rome for one night before leaving on a cruise. Arrived at hotel around 9:30 am and our room was not ready yet but they held our luggage and we went out to explore. It was just a few blocks to the Spanish Steps and 2 blocks off the Via Veneto perfect for walking all over Rome. The room and bath were spacious, very clean and was very modern Italian.

There should be more hotels in Rome like this.

It is a small hotel, with good size rooms, very large and modern bathrooms, a decent on site breakfast, all at a reasonable cost. Not much staff, but the hotel doesn't need it.

It is hard to find, as there is only a very small sign on the front of the building and it sits mid-block. My taxi driver drove past twice before we spotted it. I like a fairly loud AC unit, to drown out other sounds. The AC here is ultra quiet, so nearby noises can be heard easily. The street does not get much traffic, so you won't hear scooters constantly, but outside noises will be heard if you are in the front of the hotel. Location is good. Close to Spanish steps and Via Veneto. Vila Borghese is just to the north for those who want to go for a run.

I was nervous about the reviews of being moved to another hotel but had checked several times by e-mail and was assured we had a good reservation. We arrived near noon and our room was to be ready shortly, And it was, so no problem!

We were a little disappointed with the room, having reserved what we thought had a balcony on a higher floor. The room, 201, was very large but had no view and had a single sink. We were told another room would be available on the 7th floor in two days. We did take that room (701) and what a difference. The terrace is about 12' X 30' and the view of Rome is priceless! We have never enjoyed a room so much. Every evening we would have wine and cheese and watch the swallows and other birds chasing insects. Park and beautiful buildings across the street, Panteon in distance. Can't get much better. Room was spotlessly clean. Double sinks and huge shower.

Breakfast was very good with nice service. They do provide extra items such as eggs for an additional (small) charge. Super nice attendant (Matte).

Front desk was nice enough but don't expect a concierge like you would find in a large hotel. Do your own homework on restaurants and tours. A little bit of a challenge with first day air conditioning and communications about it. Finally fixed (first day of really warm weather).

I would definitely go back. There are some things that they could do a little better but the overall value was excellent. I hope the "overbooking" events are a thing of the past because I want to come back!

Room Tip: Room 701 is to die for!

We experienced none of the problems of overbooking reported previously. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Even going out to the shops to buy natural yoghurt for breakfast when there was none left. The hotel is comfortable and well located. There are some good restaurants nearby. Our bathroom was very fancy, but not everything worked, a bit like my Fiat! I would go again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have views of a garden. The back rooms look into a service yard.

A fantastic hotel that had superb rooms and very friendly staff. The experience was so good that the holiday was one of the best we have ever had. You must stay here as the location was also perfect for exploring what Rome has to offer.

My boyfriend booked a birthday trip for me staying in the Berg Luxury in March 2014. It's an absolutely gorgeous hotel, in a great location in the centre of Rome. We stayed in the presidential suite and the room was amazing, it had a large terrace with beautiful views! Staff at the Berg Luxury were very friendly and we would definitely return and recommend!
