We went to the Fish Market near Pietralata. Cool look, food was ok, service was bad. When I asked about the food preparation for my celiac wife, the cooks and cashier were both annoyed and rude, stating that they aren't taking responsibility for her dining needs—I had only asked if they could cook her dish in a frying an instead of the grill.

We were short utensils, and it was unusually difficult to take care of such a simple problem, since the waiters were difficult to find, despite it being a Wed night and not particularly busy.

A lovely mediteranean style seafood eatery. Fish was fresh and quickly served. Great variety and daily menu selection. Full of locals, hardly any tourists. Wonderful atmosphere, highly recommended.

This is a particular fish restaurant in the Trastervere area, packed full with locals . You mark your choice on the menu, take this to the kitchen, and collect your drinks which are ready for you in the bar. The food is served to you at you table, though it may not be in the sequence you intended. The typically Roman food is however fresh, abundant and excellent. The choice of wines is from all over Italy and is of very good quality. You buy it by the bottle. The service is as speedy as one can expect and the price quite affordable. We recommend it to those who like excellent , affordable food in unconventional (unsophisticated) surroundings.

Well hidden in a quiet street just fee meters from Tevere river (Tiber) Fish Market is Trastevere's hidden treasures, where one practically finds only local guests. Simple, extremely fresh and mouthwatering menu stretches from basic fish&chips in a typically Roman frittura, trough generous fish burgers ( I recommend tuna) to raw fish specialties.
Restaurant is open till approx. 16 p.m and then in the evenings from 7:30 pm.
Affordable prices (3-15 EUR) and laid back climate of this place make it a perfect combination for lunch in the middle of sightseeing or launch of an evening at Trastevere.

a bit hard to find, at first, but we were lucky enough to have a table on a saturday night. I wanted to order the whole menu!!
great tuna carpaccio and even better spaghetti alle vongole. the system is cute, the people were nice and it has a great vibe. then you're just in the middle of Trastevere to go for drinks :)
