Very nice location two steps away from Termini station, besides we could reach on foot the Colosseum, the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain. Plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops in the area, plus a couple of mini-markets. Daily room-service. All necessary things in the room including toiletries. Neat and tastefully furnished rooms. Great for the money!
Unfortunately, you have to check-in in another hotel down the street. But we didn't have to go there for check-out and just left keys in the room. They checked us in only at 14.00 (and on the web-site they claim check-in from 10.00) so we had to hang around for 3 hours till that time, which was a little annoying after a tiresome trip

After booking this on a whim and a very tight budget, I was a bit nervous that we'd be sharing bathrooms with Hannibal Lecter and staying in a hovel for the night- I couldn't have been more wrong- we LOVED it. I want to preface this review by saying that our entire holiday for a week, including airfair from UK cost £600 for two people, so I was definitely not expecting anything great. After we got off the train at Termini station, it wasn't that difficult to find. We checked in at the Piram and got our keys and walked down the street....It wasn't signposted particularly well, but if we can find it, then it's not rocket science. When you walk into the foyer, there's a ricketty old lift or some stairs. We used the lift everyday- it may judder, it may be rather old, but I was happy to take the risk. So far, not massively impressed, but we were optimistic. Then we got out on the 3rd floor and into our room...it was perfect. Cool and clean and a comfy bed with a clean bathroom to use. What more could we have asked for for a fraction of the cost of one of the fancier hotels? We hadn't come to see the hotel. The next morning we went to breakfast and there was so much choice. Nothing crazy, but cereal, breads, cheeses, juice, just perfect to fill up on and then sneak a bit out to have for your lunch too (did I mention this was a budget hol ;)). It was so easy to get about the whole of Rome from the metro station and the tickets were approx. 11 euros each for the week. There are only 2 lines, so don't worry about getting lost. Lots of restaurants around Termini too, although, they are really expensive. I'm guessing that it's just because it's such a major city though. Pints of beer were 5 euros and meals around the 15- 20 euro mark, but they were good.
Went to Trastevere for the evening to a Michelin starred restaurant - The Glass Hostaria. We got very lost trying to go by train so just take a taxi- it's cheaper. The food was magnificent and Trastevere is just awesome. Lot's of Piazza's and chilled out people. We even got talking to a clergy man in one pub. They give you little sandwiches to eat with your drinks in this area, which was quite sweet.
Don't dwell too much on the hotel- it's clean, efficient and, most importantly, the air con works. Get yourself out and explore a wonderful city. Villa Borghese was perfect for chilling out for the day. Best and cheapest holiday ever!

Good value. Not posh but serviceable. Easy to find, bus from airport and no taxi needed. Convenient location for getting to the sights. Good pleasant staff and they provided a free dinner because it was my birthday.

After booking a holiday package which included stay at the hotel termini we were told to go to Hotel Piram to check in. Affiliated with the hotel were some apartments nearer to central attractions and a couple of minutes walk from the Trevi fountain.
The apartments were decently furnished with a small bathroom and all the general amenities, as well as a small kitchenette which was handy as there was a spar supermarket nearby and we could save money on breakfast. It was a cheap hotel, but to be honest we only really slept there as there was so much to see in the city. It was good for the money; but don't expect the world.
The staff were also friendly and helpful and contactable by a phone in the apartment. We also were able to leave our bags in Hotel Piram on our departure date which was really helpful.

We stayed here in October 2012 for two nights on a budget break to Rome. While it's not an actual 'hotel' it's linked to the Piram just up the road. The rooms are on the 3rd floor of an apartment type building, they're clean and functional if all you want to do is shower and sleep in them. Don't listen to the other reviews, the area is not dodgy, it's very easy to get to, a 15 minute walk down the main road you are at the Forum, it's great for a budget explorer's break.

We arrived at Hotel Termini, which was easy to find and on the road parallel to the Termini Rail Station, so within easy walking distance. However, it wasn't a safe looking area and the building that the hotel was in wasn't inviting or clean looking. We walked the 100 stairs to the hotel, as the lift was tiny and took forever to come. We rang the bell and were told through the intercom that we needed to walk down the street to hotel Piram to collect the key for the Termini...after a long day and 100 stairs it was the last thing we wanted.

We walked to the Hotel Piram and was greeted by a lovely receptionist, I was so angry that I told him I wasn't happy with the situation so he put us in a room in that hotel, which was lovely. So, the moral of the review is to complain and get upgraded to the other hotel!

We appeared at the Welcome Piram hotel to check in. That was very nice. Yet we were quickly brought down to earth on arrival at hotel Termini.
Many seedy looking characters hanging around the vicinity. There is a constant smell of kebabs outside and inside the hotel. Not good.
The stairway is dirty and dark and we were quite afraid returning late at night. The rooms are very basic and not very clean.
We woul not recommend you stay here. Yes it's cheap, but the surrounding area is disgusting and best avoided.
