“Great view!”

This place is all about the location and the view. Fantastic! The coffee is good, and in the afternoon it is no problem to find a free table. Perfect for a break after visiting the nearby attractions.

“Get there early”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2012

There are several museums in this complex, plus a church, ruins of an ancient Roman apartment house, and, next door, the Capitoline museums. So there are a lot of tourists wandering around here, and some of them will head for this cafeteria. If you want to get your food without waiting, try to get here before noon.
The food is mostly just sandwiches and salads, but from any table you will enjoy stunning views of Rome's eastern skyline (not St. Peter's). An excellent choice, even if you didn't come for the museums.
To get there from the street, climb the very high stairway toward the Aracoeli church (left of the steps to the Capitoline museums, which don't connect at the top!) and go through the gate on the left.

“The perfect view over Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2012

The view is the most impressive part of the cafeteria. The food is average and not too expensive and the service is quick and professional.

“Beautiful view and excellent value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2012 via mobile

After spending a good few hours at the museum we spotted this cafe, it was beautiful so we thought it would be pricey. Turns out it was incredibly cheap and the coffee was lovely!
They had fans as well, maybe they read previous reviews!
Definitely worth visiting! Make sure you also get the lift on to the top of the building as well, it's breathtaking

“Sip your drink with a view of Rome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2012

We stopped here for a coffee after visiting the museum and we were very pleased to have found this cafe on the terrace. I remembered it being pricey but after reading other reviews the common stream was that it was reasonable.

Now, I did visit in early March which is out of the main tourist season this could explain the difference in prices possibly.

It was very windy the day were stopped here but they have protective/over head cover so you can still enjoy your alfresco experience. They serve tea, coffee, soft drinks and pastries etc. Not full meals.

Great photos can be taken across Rome and especially the ruins in the Forum.
