We enjoyed our stay at The First Luxury Art Hotel when we stopped in Rome during our honeymoon. The room was clean, spacious, and nice. We also had a bottle of prosecco iced in our room when got in on our first night.

Location was great - good walking around on Via Corso and other side streets and the Spanish Steps and Palazzo Papolo were nearby. Trevi Fountain also a short walk.

Service was excellent from all staff we encountered. Great dinner recommendation one night when we didn't have an idea. Always ready to help.

Just returned from 3 nights in this hotel. The location is great with all the main sites no more than 20 mins away. There is also a metro station 5 minutes away. The staff are very friendly and help full, maybe a little over the top for me. Arrival was good the roof top bar was closed but they arranged for a couple of beers to be served on the roof - 16 Euros - friendly waiter but 20 Euros handed over, no change given - I am happy to tip but would rather have the option not assumption from the staff (this was not mentioned to the hotel, life's too short for 4 Euros). The room was a deluxe so the cheaper smaller rooms, nice furniture clean and well equipped with large walk-in shower and good toiletries. Lighting could be better it seems to be about mood! The room was small but once you moved the chair from the desk to one side you could move around a bit.

Now it seems November should be cold in Rome but it was 20+ degrees which was great outside the hotel but......inside the air conditioning was set to 27 degrees and could not be lowered. That is too hot for me I like to be able to cool down but when raised with them it seems they program the whole thing for the winter months. They offered a fan (noise) and in the end we had the window open most of the time that did mean noise and rain coming in. Call me old fashioned but I pay for air conditioning so I can choose the temperature but like the keeping the change I guess the Hotel knows best! Because of the air conditioning and because I was so disappointed with that I have rated low but if I was staying in Rome during a period that they had it working properly I would stay again but not when they fix it as a heater! oh and breakfast was great.

This is NOT a 5 star property. If you are a 5 star client. You get it. Feels llike a Hard Rock Hotel - which is very cool - they try hard, but clearly not 5 stars. Nice location. Clean room. Nice art. This is a serious tourist area. So this is definitely better than the Tourist trap hotel. If you love everything about Rome you may like this. If you are a 5 star client you may not be satisfied with the crew spending 45 minutes to fix your tv and sending you to a mediocre tourist trap restaurant ( LIFE restaurant) for dinner. Not cool.

Room Tip: Junior Suite is fine, just don't trip up (or down) the stairs inside your small bit nice sort of...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at The First Hotel. We are glad to hear that you find our hotel located in a nice location, that our rooms are clean and that you appreciate our great collections of artworks, which is one of the product highlights we offer to our guests.

We are however sorry to find that you did not like our restaurant suggestion. Our host team hand-picked the restaurants and tried each single one before suggesting them to our clients. We also ask our clients of their preference in cuisine, the kind of atmosphere they like and how far are the willing to travel to reach the restaurant to make sure that we provide the right suggestions. In fact the same restaurant you mentioned was suggested in the past to various clients and we have always received positive feedbacks from them. However after hearing your input, we will definitely take the occasion to revisit the restaurant for an updated review.

As for the television, having a satellite tv with latest technology offering hundreds of channels, some complications of use of the remote control could occur. When the problem presented we have promptly provide assistance but unfortunately often time we have to reprogram the system to restore the original setup. Our team always try to do our best to fix all problems within minutes to ensure that you are not disturbed longer than needed, but unfortunately we do not always have such power. Reprogramming the system could take some time. We are sorry if it took a little longer than expected and we thank you for your understanding.

We do hope to have the occasion to welcome you back at The First and we will be sure to send you to the best rmichelin star restaurant in town the next time around.

Sincerely yours,
Giuseppe Falconieri
General Manager

This hotel is not too small and not too big which means it can give excellent personal service. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to all the sites and then return back to hotel to change for dinner. There was a good choice of restaurants around the area and we had really good food every night.
Although our visit was as a couple, the hotel did have families , but with older children.
The rooms were spacious and extremely and luxurious, we really felt very spoilt. The staff, especially Antonio always went the extra mile.
Rome is a great city and I can't wait to go back....and stay at the First Luxury Art Hotel again!

This was the first hotel we have checked into in our vacation in Italy, and we couldn’t ask for a better start. The hotel is very modern, unlike most hotels in Rome which may be classic to depressing. It also means that the rooms are more spaces and very well equipped.

The staff here was one of the most helpful and welcoming I have ever encountered. Everything from the great guy at the door that willingly helped us with everything from valley to travel tips, to the beautiful lady's at the desk, which keeps availability 24 hours a day.

The hotel has a roof bar and balcony with a stunning panoramic view of the city, which is a great spot to start an evening.

One, and just one, down side – the breakfast at the hotel's restaurant is very expensive for what you get, if not included.

Still – a perfect stay.

My wife and I, along with 2 other couples, recently stayed at The First Luxury Art Hotel in Rome. We were on a three week trip to Italy to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Our stay was absolutely PERFECT! The First Luxury Art Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The decor, the amenities, the location and especially the staff, all combined to create a most memorable experience.

Centrally located, near the Piazza del Popolo, it afforded easy access to all the principal sights and activities of Rome. The ancient sights (Collosseum, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forum, Palatine and Capital Hills, Circus Maximus, etc.) were all a short cab, bus or Metro ride away. The Historical Center (Campo d . Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc.) were all within easy walking distance. The Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese and Vatican were also within walking distance or a short cab or Metro ride away.

The decor of the hotel is elegant, modern and artistic. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and very clean. We enjoyed a suite with separate sitting area and an outdoor veranda that offered a beautiful view of the night skyline. It was a welcoming retreat after long days of sightseeing.

The amenities include the Michelin Star Restaurant All’Oro, a lobby bar and a ‘not to be missed’ rooftop bar that has a spectacular view of the Rome skyline. At night it is truly magical!

But the best thing about The First is the staff. They are Excellent! Without exception, every staff member we encountered was extremely courteous, helpful, pleasant and professional. They went above and beyond duty and expectation to insure that every request and need was met and exceeded. Their passion for and commitment to excellence was evident in all that they did. They never missed an opportunity to make certain that our stay was wonderful. From advice about where to eat and reservations, to assistance with activities and transportation, nothing was beyond the scope of their willingness to serve the hotel’s guests.

I have stayed in numerous 4 and 5 star rated hotels all around the world. The First ranks among the very best! I highly recommend The First Luxury Art Hotel for your stay in Rome.
