Overall the hotel was good. It's a "modern" hotel. We found the room had very little storage space which for a traveller is not the best situation. Only struggle we had was with losing hot water. We were promised by the day staff to have it fixed but when we got back at the end of the day it had not been taken care of. The night staff took care of the situation & a bottle of wine was waiting for us on our return. Management could not apologize enough. While this isn't our style of hotel, the location is wonderful (2 blocks from Palazzo Della Poppolo). Would not be my #1 choice to stay again but wouldn't rule it out either.

On arrival we were offered a drink whilst the check in formalities were completed and were happy to find that we had been upgraded to a suite. I think the check in took to long but I guess the hotel staff thought they were being helpful with all the information they where giving us.
A couple of minor issues with being able to get a drink from the bar and our private airport transfer driver took us to the wrong terminal! but to credit the hotel they refunded us the cost of the transfer and offered an apology.
The location was ideal with all the major attractions being a short 30 minute walk away.
I would have no problem with recommending this hotel to our freinds.

I have just checked out after a four night stay. As others have said the hotel can be a little tricky to find - we were treated to a tour of the local area as our driver to find the hotel. On arrival we were offered a drink whilst the check in formalities were completed and were happy to find that we had been upgraded several grades from a junior suite to an art suite. Apart from the odd plumbing noise the room was quiet and peaceful. Touches such as a miriad of chargers available for most of our tech were appreciated.

We ate in the restaurant and the bar and were very happy with the quality of the food. The service was professional and friendly.

The location was ideal for us with the major attractions only a short (30 minute) walk away.

Very nice hotel, great, attentive staff, quiet area close to Spanish Steps. Room was very nice, but a tad smaller than expected for a junior suite. The location was a bit hard to find, and taxis had to go all the way around Popolo Square to reach it.

Room Tip: We were given a junior suite with a small balcony, can't recall room number. The staff could not...

We used Trip Advisor to narrow down our list of potential hotels for a five day trip to Rome from which we have just returned. We wanted a small but excellent hotel and having become accustomed for Four Seasons Hotels around the world for many years we know what good service can be. This hotel did not disappoint. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful whenever we needed them to be. The room was clean and very comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. To be honest, some of the restaurant reviews we read before going were mixed, so we were somewhat surprised when the food turned out to be delicious, plentiful and varied. We have eaten in most of the top establishments in London, New York and many cities around the world and to be perfectly frank, All'Oro is a match for any of them for the food alone, never mind the service or ambience. We ended up eating there on three occasions and on two of them we requested the sommelier recommend wine to match our choice of dishes. His choices were excellent (a standout was the Renato Ratti Barolo 2006), and ranged from modestly priced to expensive, as with the 2006 Barolo, however at no time were we pressured to accept the expensive option. Failure to use a good sommelier is sheer stupidity in my opinion as very few people can match the breadth of knowledge of a true professional.
All in all, having stayed previously at both the Hotel Eden and Hotel de Russie, for value and service this one wins hands down. It's not cheap but certainly not the most expensive in Rome and we shall definitely use it next time we are in town!

Room Tip: Next time we will request a room to the sides, not the front of the hotel in order to avoid the earl...

We stayed 4 nights in this fantastic hotel. On arrival the staff were very warm and welcoming. We were given a map of Rome and a member of staff sat with us pointed out where the hotel was in relation to all major attractions, this very useful, as the location of the hotel is very good for exploring Rome by foot. This trip was to celebrate my husbands' 50th birthday and we could not have wished for a better place to stay, and he was very touched and grateful for all the surprises the hotel did to make our/his stay very special. The rooms are lovely, the bed really comfortable and bathroom was beautiful. I recommend this hotel and the professional staff highly, do not hesitate to stay here.

I picked this hotel after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn't disappoint! The location is brill and it's very close to a lovely square, perfect for a nice sit in the sunshine. The roof top bar wasn't open as it's not in season, but you could still take drinks up and enjoy the views - and my partner proposed to me just as the sun was going down! Perfect. :)

The staff were so helpful and friendly (especially the front of house team) and the hotel itself is so modern and clean.

I couldn't recommend it highly enough - I would definitely rebook if I returned to Rome.x

Room Tip: We had the junior suite - a must if you're going on a special trip!
