“Perfect”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

Spent ages reviewing hotels in Rome and felt very smug when we arrived at the First Luxury Art Hotel. It was absolutely perfect.

The welcome we received was very personal and special. Our suite was upgraded (101) with a welcome bottle of prosecco. The hotel is just amazing. Do not listen to any bad reports I sometimes feel some people will always find something to moan about. The roof top bar has views around Rome and it was just so wonderful to see the city. All the staff were friendly and breakfast delicious .

The best thing about the hotel was its location walking distance to everywhere The Vatican, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon within 10 minutes walk.

The restaurant in the hotel is a Michelin star restaurant but there are some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Ad Hoc superb, La Buca Ripetta delicious but best of all Taverna Ripetta (158 via Ripetta) which I just want to tell everyone to go to. The food is excellent service friendly and it is great value for money. I booked all the restaurants online before getting to Rome which I would recommend .

Enjoy. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in suite105. The service and staff were amazing both courteous & attentive but not overly intrusive. The decor is beautiful and a true oasis of calm & comfort after a busy day sight seeing/shopping.
Please make sure you enjoy at least a cocktail at the rooftop bar and take in the panoramic views of this beautiful historic city.
The staff also have great local knowledge of what is worth seeing and know all the best places to eat, take their advice on dinner venues and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in the first few days of May 2104. As soon as we entered we were greeted with smiles and offered a glass of Prosecco. While enjoying this and chatting with the very friendly staff we were also admiring the beautiful modern art adorning the walls and hallways throughout the hotel.

Our room was of a size that you would expect in a city hotel but was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean with incredibly good quality linen and bed and also looked out over a rear courtyard so for a position in a big city was very quiet.

The location was superb for Piazza del Popollo, Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Cavour, Castel Saint Angelo and Vatican city all of these are within walking distance. The Colosseum is a little farther in the region of 30 mins walk but a stroll down through the backstreets, along the river or even the most direct route straight down Via Del Corso all have their merits.

This was our first visit to Rome and we were amazed how time flew by as there early is something of historical, architectural, artistic or religious interest around every corner.

Breakfast at the hotel was of a very high standard and everything was of good quality and again served with a smile. You can order all sorts of other dishes straight fresh from the kitchen and that is also a plus and far better than those ghastly hot silver trays most hotels seem to offer these days.

In the evenings we always headed out for dinner as there is just such a diverse range just on your doorstep so for us it seemed a little silly to stay in the hotel. However i will say that most nights the hotel restaurant seemed full of local Italians rather than guests so obviously it is thought of very highly.
When we return to Rome (which we will very soon) we will stay here again and we will definitely try the restaurant for dinner.

Finally i would like to say that the staff here should feel very proud of what they have achieved and how welcome they make their guests feel.

Thank You.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night break in Rome and by chance we booked the 1st Luxury Art Hotel base purely on its location.
From the moment you walk in the door to be "greeted" by the weird "phone cow" you already know that the decision was the right one. The staff are well groomed, friendly, articulate and knowledgable. The suite makes you smile every time you walk into it. Not massive in dimension but wonderfully and interestingly appointed.
We didn't get around to throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain, but the 1st Luxury Hotel has ensured that we will return to Rome.

My husband and I just celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary in Rome for four nights and could not have been happier with the 1st Luxury Art Hotel. This is our 4th time to Rome and had yet to find our "perfect" hotel... until now!

The location is unbeatable, the hotel is beautiful & clean, the staff could not be lovelier.

We had breakfast included with our booking and took it each morning in our room and it was delicious!

On arrival we were given a class of prosecco, and then an iced bottle of it when we got into our room. We enjoyed a few negronis on the roof top bar.. the hotel smelled heavenly every time we walked in... i could go on & on... if you are looking for a fabulous hotel LOOK NO FURTEHR!

From the moment you step inside you know you made the right decision; and it only gets better.
The staff, the location and our suite was to die for. Really appreciated the upgrade and the bottle of champange waiting for us after a long day touring. We travel a lot for work however this was for pleasure and it was perfect. Thank you to the wonderful and very friendly staff.
