The recent completely redesign and reconfiguration at this hotel on an historic site has yielded a gem. We have stayed at nearly all of the hotels in the Campo de Fiori area over the past 20 years; the new Lunetta is a fine addition the neighborhood.
Constructed in a old building whose foundations are of the ancient theater built by Pompey in 60 BC. The Lunetta is located in the very heart of Rome. Julius Caesar met his end just a hundred or so meters away.

The Lunetta features expertly laid marble floors in the public areas, wood parquet in the guest rooms and well designed and executed baths. Good WiFi, an adequate breakfast and and to bring it all together, a welcoming, friendly, helpful staff.
The Lunetta is a small hotel in a very desirable neighborhood. There is a spa in the lower level that we didn't visit and a roof deck that would be charming in the warmer months.

If you know Rome you might prefer some other neighborhood for one reason or another. If you are planning your first trip to Rome, the area near the Campo de Fiori is a good starting point; its is walking distance to most of the major sites in historic Rome. We find the neighborhood charming because it is a bit messy around the edges; if you want prefer more polished elegance then it might not be the best place for you

I hope that the hotel staff will pay a bit more attention to the condition of the mattresses; ours was annoyingly slanted to the edge. This shouldn't happen in this bracket; it's the only quibble we could raise, everything else was first rate.

Room Tip: Any interior room will be quieter in what can be a noisy neighborhood. I imagine they are all very nice as the hotel is new and fresh

We are just home from a weekend trip to Rome. We spent two nights at the Hotel Lunetta. Well situated for all the sights.
The staff were wonderful and helpful and took great care.
A few things about the hotel which we didn't like : the classic double room had a bed which was not a double , about 4 ft wide only with about 18 inches of space around it. We felt like we were in a closet. This was disappointing as the hotel was expensive. We went to try out the pool in the spa : it looked lovely but it was not heated so we couldn't avail if it ( freezing outside so we went to the pool to try to warm up ).
All in all though this hotel was very fresh and clean. Fabulous location and it's best feature is it's staff.

From United States - Just came back from 5 nights at Hotel Lunetta with family (husband, 21 year old son, and 13 year old son). Can't say enough about this hotel. Rooms were tight squeeze as they all are in Rome but spotless!! Beds were good sized for 2 grown children to share. Conceirge desk was so helpful and friendly. LOCATION is perfect. Nice buffet breakfast. Highly recommend Hotel Lunetta!!

Room Tip: Suite on fourth floor for a family with 2 rooms, 2 beds, 2 showers, balcony, room dividing doors was perfect for us!

Lovely Hotel with a nice staff but the hotel is popular with young Germans who drunkenly scream and yell in the hallways and outside the door of the hotel all night long. The staff will not deal with the noise and they provide no security at night. It is a shame nice property but poor management.

The place can be borderline dangerous. Place is fine if you want to stay up all night and party but if you object to screaming and yelling in the hallway at 2pm stay away.
Location is good during the day but noisy and seedy at night.
Americans should stay away the drunken guests express anti-American sympathies and with so many other good hotels in Rome you can fine bargains that provide a more pleasant stay.

Perfect location, super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is more than adequate. The hotel has a great spa, very beautiful. The only issue is the size of the bedroom: although we were in a junior suite, the room was very small and the third bed was actually a sofa (not very comfortable).

Room Tip: Front rooms have a nicer view.
