“Very clean”
Reviewed 13 August 2012 via mobile

Stayed 2 nights here with group of people on tour. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Only downside there was always the sound on running water somewhere. Not sure if it was from room next door or where, but overall a pleasant stay.

As a family of 5 we stayed for 4 nights . clean and convenient - free internet and parking are a major plus. Staff very friendly - we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was OK - self service buffet with a good variety - I would recommend this Hotel particularly for visits to the Vatican

It is a nice place, clean and spacious, but the breakfast is really bad and so is the internet and the service at the restaurant. Good value for money, though. Good location, not in the center, but has a nice neighbourhood pizzeria near by and is perfect walk to Vatican City (we actually walked all the way to Colosseum, going to Trevi fountain, Piazza del Popolo and many landmarks on the way, at the end of the day took the bus to the Hotel).

We've been in this hotel between 12-14 of July. The hotel looks very nice, lobby is spacious and very clean all over.
Rooms are spacious and with all the necessities for a good sleep and a freshing up.
View from rooms isn't much to talk about - mostly old buildings, Pool is nonexistent, so if you're looking for a hotel with nice scenenry and a pool - look somewhere else.
There is quite good transportation from the hotel to the city center (busses and train), and its walking distance from the Vatican.
Not too many restaurants in the area, but the hotel gives a very good breakfast, and the hotel's restaurant is quite good if you want a small dinner (veriety is not too big but food was tasty).
Staff are a bit reluctant to help in giving instructions, but if you need something they'll provide for it.
As a summary - a good place and with reasonable price as a sleeping place while in Rome.

For a 4 star hotel, I honestly expected more. Umberto at the front desk is the absolute best part about this place; he was an incredible help. Unfortunately, our dinner service at the hotel restaurant was mediocre at best, and breakfast was nothing to write home about. Plus, we were told breakfast was served until 1030; we got there at 10 and nearly everything was already put away.

The room itself was clean and adequate, although again, I expected more for a 4 star place. I think I'll find another option if I'm ever in Rome again.

Room Tip: We had a 5th floor room with a balcony; not much of a view, but the balcony was very nice. I've...

Unfortunately, hubby and I arrived in Rome late at night. If you don't know this already, Rome signs are extremely hard to find. Once found, it's difficult to read because it's etched into the stone and some of it is ruined. Add dark, meandering streets and you get two lost tourists. Luckily, most Italians are nice and two helpful locals directed us to Grand Hotel Tibero. Once we arrived, we were extremely pleased with the condition of the hotel. Very new with clean facilities. Also, they offer free breakfast so that was a plus. Wifi was a bit sketchy but worked most of the time. You're not close to the metro AT ALL. It's a 15-20 min trek to the metro though they do recommend taking the bus. I personally found Rome's bus transportation difficult to use so I stuck with the metro, which meant a lot of walking for me. My only other complaint happened during checkout. I needed change for a 20 bc the subway machines only gave a limited amount of change back. The snobby man at the reception would not give me any bc there were for guests who were checking in (I was just a guest a second ago!) How hard is it to give me two tens for a twenty? I guess once you leave you're no longer important...
