“The perfect way to experience Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014 via mobile

My wife and I stayed from December 26th through January first. This was not our first B&B experience, but it was by far the best.

When we arrived Emiliano, one of the proprietors, picked us up from FCO airport. On the way to Domus he took a special detour and showed us some of the more interesting and scenic roads in Rome.

Upon arriving we found a beautiful, recently updated room in a nice neighborhood. The location is a perfect 10 minute walk from the Vatican, 15 minutes from the the piazza navona and others where many of the architectural treasures are.

Breakfast in the mornings were delicious, mostly baked goods from a local bakery, and Emiliano usually added something new and interesting each day. In addition the staff (which included the lovely and intelligent Vera) was helpful in giving advice and building plans for each day. They even offered to call some tourist spots to make reservations for us.

On the second to last evening Emiliano took us on a nighttime tour of the city, to places that would be un reachable by anything but a car and someone with intimate knowledge of the city.

This is where Domus truly shines. Emiliano is not just a wonderful proprietor and host, he is also someone who loves Rome with evangelical passion. He is truly an encyclopedia of knowledge, and is always excited to share insights and stories about this treasure of a city.

Rome is a magical city, and we would have enjoyed it in any case. However, Domus Quiritum and it's wonderful staff played a huge part in making this the trip of a lifetime.

Very clean B&B, run capably by a young, friendly group. The breakfast was the best we had at any B&Bs. Lucilla's dad is a phenomenal baker and jam-maker. We were lucky to sample some of his creations every morning. They were also very helpful with telling us about the best transportation options and ways of getting around Rome. Super close to the Vatican (just 10 mins away). It is also very convenient getting to and from the airport; there is a bus that leaves the nearby Piazza Cavour at scheduled times and Piazza Cavour is a short walk from the B&B.

Charming B&B located close to the Vatican. Excellent breakfast with freshly baked home-made bread, pastries and more. The bedroom is nicely decorated; comfortable bed and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. Emiliano picked us from the airport. He is polite and friendly. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Vera. She provided us with a map and helpful restaurant tips. I will remember her for her contagious laugh. Lucilla is kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed the pleasant conversations with her. I will come back to Rome just to verify Alessio’s existence (as I was not able to meet him. Just kidding, Lucilla!)
We highly recommend this topnotch B&B!

The Domus Quiritum B&B is a fabulous place to stay. Everything about this place is just top notch and a terrific B&B. We stayed here for 4 days and wished we could be there longer.

Location: excellent location that is quiet, safe, clean, close to restaurants, close to shopping, close to Vatican, and close to Metro & bus lines. Our window had a beautiful view of a local church, it was very peaceful.

Comfortable: The bed was very comfortable! We had a lot of space, private bathroom, and the common areas were very welcoming. It was easy to relax here because everything was clean and cozy. The size of our room was much larger than expected plus a large private bathroom.

Breakfast: Delicious! Homemade goods, tasty spread, lots of variety to fit even the pickiest eater.

Friendly and warm staff who had terrific recommendations for tourist attractions and true Roman experience like shopping and restaurants (where the locals go). They offered us an umbrella when it rained. They catered to our American tastes for breakfast. They mapped special attractions out for us. They even taught us a few words in Italian. :)

Bonus: rooftop terrace. Do as the Roman's do, buy a picnic meal from a nearby supermarket and watch the sunset from the rooftop terrace. We had to set up a few chairs from the storage unit, but it was a romantic setting, a delicious meal, and a beautiful memory.

Overall a wonderful experience, and truly enjoyed our stay at the Domus Quiritum B&B. When we return to Rome, (b/c we will, we threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain), we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for our 10th anniversary and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Rome. The B&B is beautiful and spotless. Vera and Alessio are so very kind and welcoming. The location is absolutely perfect no matter where you want to go. Staying in the Prati neighborhood is a fabulous experience and Domus Quiritum is tops!! We felt like we were family and completely at home in their lovely home. We loved Rome and the largest part of that was because of these lovely new friends. They also arranged a night walking tour of the fountains with our fabulous guide Vincenzo and it was one of the best experiences we had in Italy...not to be missed!! Do yourself a favor and if you are researching where to stay and happen across this B&B, you've found the right place!!

Room Tip: The astronomers room is large and lovely, with a fantastic view of the square and fountain below

This B & B is in a great location on the second floor of an apartment building. It has not long been renovated and is spotless.
The linen is good quality and Vera, the only staff we met was very nice and helpful. The rooms are soundproofed which is essential. Would go back again.

I was in the Domus Quiritun with my wife this summer for 4 nights. Everything was perfect. Lucilla and Alessio, the owners, are very nice and extremely helpful. The B&B is recently renovated and full of charme. We enjoyed every second we spent there, just a few steps from the vatican.
