We stayed for five nigths. The hotel is well situated and our rooms were clean and well-maintained. The beds are good and the hotel is placed in an silent area of Rom. the service in the hotel is good, but there are no steps in the hotel so you HAVE TO use the lift ( not everybody like that) Spesially we want to honnor the breakfest - it was outstanding - and thanks to Rmel (Ruel?) so much for his engagement, service and professionalism.

It was my trouble while I could not go to the book room. The city was crowned by people because the canonization of Blessed John XXIII and Pope John Paul II will be held tomorrow.
I was in Gambrinus Hotel one night with a lot of worries so the the receptionist named Ermal helped me with a friendly attitude.
I am happy with the services in this hotel.

We were in superior room in new building. It's over all clean hotel with helpful staff. Only thing surprised me that we were given only half litre of water bottle in our entire 4 days stay. And the Gelato at the end of the road was Awesome.... We used to have it every time we used to pass by. So ppl staying in hotel dong forget to try this awesome Gelato !!!

We stayed for three nights and had an excellent stay. Our room was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was outstanding as was the breakfast staff. We most appreciated Rmel and Roberta for their friendliness and professionalism. The hotel is well situated, in a nice area of Rom and within an easy 10 min. walk of the Borghese Gallery. There is bus service across the street and the Metro is approximately a15 min. walk There is free Wi-Fi.

Ill start with the good points - the restaurant across the road was one of the best we found in rome and gelateria down the road is probably the best in rome. The hotel was a 10 min walk away from all the best sights of rome if you are willing to walk - public transport isn't great. The room was nice and everything was in order - apart from a broken tv - which got quickly fixed and a slightly blocked shower. As a young couple the 'free' WIFI was crucial for those rainy days and evenings - which was very intermittent.

Breakfast consisted of a selection of fruit, tea/coffee machine, hot bacon and eggs, cold hams and cheese, 3 varieties of bread with a toaster, croissants, cereals and cakes.

The Hotel was presented very well other than the dated outside signs, lack of usable stairs and an old elevator.

Stayed for 3 nights. Great location. Excellent room, small but very adequate for our needs. We had a balcony which overlooked the main street....it was very enjoyable to sit in the evening with a glass of wine and people watch. Breakfast was excellent. Hot and cold selections. Beautiful breads. Free wifi. Lots of little cafes around the area. Will absolutely stay there again.

Stayed at the end of April for about a week. Can't stress enough, how important an internet connection is to me, so the free wifi was one of the main factors, why i chose this hotel.

### Location ###
The location isn't excellent but convenient enough in a nice and safe neighbourhood. I walked there from the exit of Termini station in around 15 minutes. When I left, i took the U92 bus back to Termini, which has a stop directly across the street from the Hotel. I took the bus mainly because I had a ticket for it left, not because it was too far to walk.
The pizzeria "Al Forno della Soffitta" right across the street is a very nice starting point, when you don't already know where you want to eat out. Excellent pizza, very interesting mixture of staff and inexpensive.

### Service ###
The young man that seems to do most of the front desk night shifts is excellent. Very friendly, helpful and with pretty good English skills. The other guys I met at the counter could use a little English refreshment (i got the answer "you can check out any time", when i asked how long the check out procedures usually take, for instance).

### Room ###
I had a single room on the first floor that was as small as i expected, but with a pretty good layout. Didn't feel cramped at all.
Window to the inner yard had frosted glass - the yard aint pretty and it is not very far to the windows on the other side, so that's okay. There was a dirt stain on the fabric of the wall covering behind the window curtains - i guess no-one from the personnel usually looks there, because apart from that (and the dust on the floor of the wardrobe) every surface was squeaky clean.
Can't say anything about the air conditioning, because i didn't need it with outside temperatures between 15 and 22 °C.
I usually have difficulty getting to sleep and there is some (probably a/c-) noise coming from the yard, but that noise was actually kind of soothing to me (compare that to my review of Jury's Inn in Chelsea, London ;-).
I especially liked the safety deposit box in the wardrobe. Plenty of room to put your valuables.

### Breakfast ###
I only need coffee and my cereals in the morning, so even though there was plenty of different foods, i can't say much about the quality of it, except for: "It looked all good to me". My cereals were fine and the two machines for hot beverages made a pretty good job producing what they call "american coffee".

### CONCLUSION ###
I felt i was given good value for my money. All my needs where met.
The only thing, that would keep me from staying here again if i came back to Rome, would be a Hotel at least as good, that isn't more expensive and located even closer to the city center (and such Hotel probably doesn't exist :-).

### Other thoughts ####
The Hotel provides its guests with a map, that suggests using bus lines 60 / 62 to get to the usual attractions you may want to visit. Be aware that these buses a) run erratically (i usually waited between 20 and 30 minutes for them) - and b) when the bus finally comes, chances are it is already pretty packed.
For Rome first timers: They don't sell bus tickets on the bus and most bus stops have no ticket machines. I bought mine in the tobacco shop a little down the street.

Room Tip: The lower the floor, the better the wifi signal (other guests told me they had connectivity problems...
