This was a wonderful hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff, and shown to our room on the third floor with a private terrace. The room was small but terribly so. Very clean. The bathroom was also very clean. The bed was comfortable, it seemed like a foam top and it was two twin mattresses pushed together but both my husband and I slept well. The location is fantastic, close to the train station (but not so close that you can hear it) and close to many attractions. We are in fairly good shape and chose to walk everywhere-even to the Vatican which is 2 1/2 miles away. The hotel will provide you with a map but we did use the wifi in the room to look at walking routs before we left. The breakfast is very good and offers a nice variety, breakfast staff is friendly but they do not speak very much English-breakfast is pretty self sufficient so we did not have any problems. The rooms on the third floor with the private terraces do have have a bit more noise in the mornings as breakfast is just down the hall-again not a big deal. The shared terrace is open for breakfast as well-I would not pay extra for a room with a private terrace as we did not use ours much, and during our 3 days here we did not see anyone on the shared terrace so we would have been fine using that as well. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel I would stay here again and I would highly recommend it. If you want great food and amazing gelato walk down the street behind the hotel there are quite a few nice places that are reasonably priced. We found the best restaurants by wandering off the main streets and trying places where people were not standing outside begging us to come in. We tried the restaurant that the hotel recommended-I can't remember the name but they gave us the business card-Stella something and we were un-impressed. Just walk down a side street look at the menu and see how busy they are-remember though most Italians don't eat until 8 or 9 so a great place could be quite earlier.

Room Tip: The third floor is a bit noisy in the morning, I would not pay extra for a private terrace.

We stayed in Hotel Borromeo for 3 nights. The location of this hotel is perfect as it is between Termini which has a direct line to the airport and the Colosseum. It is a very clean hotel with everything that you need. The hairdryer is quite slow though so make sure you bring your own! The breakfast at this hotel is good and you can even eat it out on the terrace in the sun! The staff is very friendly. I would recommend this hotel for budget city break.

We had a 3 night stay. The staff was kind and helpful. The quadruple room accommodated all 4 of us nicely. Breakfast was served upstairs, and included a wide selection. The location is in close walking distance to the Colosseum and Termini. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were welcomed by Gigi, who was very helpful, an knowledgable,re eating out, buses ect, hotel basic but very clean, breakfast on the roof top was great, plenty of variety regarding food. The position of the hotel is perfect just a short walk to the Coloseum and tour buses. Big thank you to Gigi for making our stay so good.

We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with the room and staff. The room was very basic and just enough room for us. The only cons were that the shower was small and there was very little room on the sink for toiletries. The bed was comfortable. We had a street side room and the street noise was a non issue. The room was clean, odor free and it had a closet, safe and refrigerator. We could find no English channel on the TV. Also, like most hotels, the WiFi is hit and miss in the room but solid in the lobby. There is no computer to use at this hotel. The staff was very helpful, spoke English and helped arrange tours and taxis for us. The breakfast was especially good with scrambled eggs and ham, along with the usual array of breads, yogurt, cereal, etc. The Coliseum is within a 10 minute walk but the Vatican will require a cab, 7 or 10 Euros, I can't remember exactly. One of the "hop on - hop off" bus stops is less than a 5 minute walk. I readily recommend this hotel. At the airport, follow the signs to the train, then near the train ticket window is a tourist information station, which is really a place to purchase a shuttle. 30 Euros for the two of us and they dropped us off at the hotel, a 30 mile drive from the airport. This I highly recommend.

Dear Mr.Dennis,

we are glad to receive your positive review of your stay in our hotel.
We are happy you appreciated the room, the breakfast and the staff, about the wi-fi we just improve our service with a new system during these days, giving a better connection.
As on other reviews, we do have a channel list of 20 foreign channels including 5 in english, starting from channel 701 on the TV, we hope this answer can help other guests to localize them.
In case, just ask the reception!
We hope to see you soon again,
