If you enjoy being in the middle of some of the attractions in Rome, this is the hotel for you. You can walk to the Colosseum and the subway (a short ride to the Vatican). The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. No problem with the amount of food in the dining room. Front Desk service was just OK, but I think it's because they have very large groups going in and out constantly (cruise line passengers and bus tours). Clean, great location, comfortable, and good food....I would book again when in Rome!!

We recently stayed at the Palatino Grand Hotel in Rome while on our 9 day tour for our honeymoon. The hotel was great, the food was great, the service was great and the location was perfect, literally 2 blocks from the Colosseum! The rooms were the perfect size, and very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Rome!

We were heading for a cruise in a few days and was with the travel company that we had booked through. The Hotel's Front Desk people were not warm and welcoming. They actually seemed annoyed when we asked questions about directions or anything else. They Hotel offered breakfast which would of been nice but if you didn't get down to the breakfast room exactly when it opened you were left with nothing. The hotel staff was more interested in taking all the dishes away. 8 am is not late for breakfast! The hotel was clean, the bar staff was very friendly and made a night cap fun.

Room Tip: We will not be staying at this hotel again. Our room faced the front of hotel and busy street.

Location, location and location. This hotel is located across the street from one of Lucretia Borgia's palazzos, if you climb the adjacent stairs it will lead to the Church of St. Peters Chains which contains a statute sculpted by Michelangelo. The train station is located to the left of the hotel about 100 yards away. The b-fast buffet is delicious and the rooms are spacious for Europe.
The Roman Colosseum and the Forum is within walking distance and many other attractions are nearby. An unexpected bonus is a unique non touristy neighborhood with bars and restaurants located to the right of the hotel down a set of steps which leads to a small piazza where locals hang out after dark.

We stayed here 2 nights as part of our tour package. Clean, quiet, free lobby Wi-Fi, wide variety for breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Best about this hotel is the location. We walked to coliseum, forum, pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, St. Peter in Chains Church with Michaelangelo's Moses and numerous small restaurants. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Me and my friend decided to visit Rome as part of our Europe trip. It has been 3 years since I last visited Rome, so I did not have a single idea where to stay. After reading reviews of this hotel from tripadvisor, we decided to stay here. We were lucky that by the time we got there there was no Group checking in. The person that checked us in was quite nice. She gave us a brief information regarding Rome. The lifts are very tiny and old. It kept on shaking violently as it is stopping, As we got into our room we were a tiny bit disappointed. The room is big and clean, but they used a wood floorboard instead of a carpets. We felt that the floor was somewhat dirty. They did not provide us with a room slippers. Mini bar is cheap. The bed is huge and be careful because the bed will slide whenever you throw yourself to the bed. The walls are thin and you can hear other person from the next room. The door was also a bit difficult to shut. My friend got stuck inside the bathroom. The old man in the concierge was rude and it seemed like he rather die instead of answering my questions. The bonus point however is the perfect location. A minute walk to Metro station (Cavour). 10 minutes walk to Colloseum. And a 10 minutes drive to Roma Termini.

We are staying at this hotel for a few days and overall it is pretty good. I deliberately did not read other reviews before writing this so forgive any repeats. Our tour was checked in quickly and the luggage arrived in a short time. Location is good and there is lots to see within walking distance. Just a couple of things to remember if you come here.... No free wi-fi expect in the lobby. You pay by the hour or day otherwise. 5 Euros per hour,, 8 for a day 12 for 2 days and 15 for 72 hours. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth especially on just arriving. Why don't hotels just charge more for the room and include the wi-fi? You need a password for the lobby and my iPad asked me for the user name. Small problem, the paper they give you doesn't have a user name on it. Apparently this must happen a lot as the reactionist told us we didn't need one and to make sure we were on the right server. It is not clear though. The signal does not even get past the bar and there is no internet service in the restaurant. We had dinner in the restaurant section behind the bar and we could see the bar area but no signal. The second thing is that like other hotels in Italy they require you to store your card/key in a slot by the interior of your room door so that the lights stay on. The logic behind this I guess is that when you leave you take you card/key and the lights are turned out because no one is in the room. What they neglect to tell you is that the power to the outlets is also shut off when you leave, thereby not charging any phone/tablet/computer that you leave charging. STUPID! So now I have an extra key/card and it is fixed. Suggest you also ask for one and then maybe they will get tired of issuing extra cards and fix the problem. Oh, and no matter how we try, we can't shut the heat off so we left the window open and we face the street. Waited for 10 minutes before finding a bartender to serve us last night. I walked through the dining room and looked behind the bar but no one was around at 5.30pm. Other customers were in the bar as well but they didn't have any drinks in front of them so I assumed they were waiting for service too. Staff are helpful but I wouldn't call the standard of service "friendly". No smiles when they greet you and one of the receptionists was working on his computer but didn't stop to help me so I had to wait for about a minute. If he had said " one second I'll be right with you" no problem, but he didn't so here I am telling you about it. They do need to do a bit more training on the staff I think. Maid in our room was friendly when we met her, big smile and apologized for being there when we came back. Hey, she was doing her job and she smiled. No problem. Maybe they should promote her to the reception desk?
