We stayed at The Hotel Victoria this past week for 2 nights after a week in Sorrento. At first look we weren't sure if we would enjoy the property. The room was very large but rather dated. It ended up being a very comfortable hotel. The bed was comfortable, the location was ideal and the breakfast was nice. I think if the hotel updated the rooms and public areas the hotel would be more attractive. The location is close to the America Embassy on Via Veneto and you can actually see the Porto Pinciana from the hotel. Our room 106 is directly across from the wall. We had dinner both nights at Andrea which was a very short walk from the hotel. There were many restaurants in the area that are a close and safe walk. Andrea was an excellent choice that was recommended by the front desk. Choose this hotel and you may not be at The Westin, but you will be in the same neighborhood!

We stayed here in two standard double rooms for 3 nights of our 11 day Itay vacation. Beautiful hotel! The rooms were a bit more modernized than rooms we stayed in other cities. They were spacious and very clean. We had a small balacony overlooking the Aurelian Wall of Rome. Free Wifi in the room. Our breakfast was included and had a great variety. We had dinner at the beautiful roof top restaurant, which was very good. Staff was wonderful. The location was great. Walking distance to great shopping on the famed Via Veneto, Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps. Metro station is very close. If I return to Rome I will stay at this hotel again, I completely recommend it and have no complaints.

This really is a lovely hotel furnished and decorated in a traditional style. Our room was of good size, quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. On reception, staff are reserved but always polite and helpful. We only had breakfast at the hotel where the selection and quality was very good and served in a really nice breakfast room. On the rooftop terrace the Victoria has lovely bar which we visited each night after dinner for a relaxing nightcap or two before retiring.

The location is just perfect. It’s around the corner from Via Veneto, one of the finest boulevards in Rome, where you can find numerous bars and restaurants all within a five minute stroll...and feel safe and comfortable walking back to the hotel after nightfall. For touring during the day, it’s a short walk to Piazza Barberini where you can pick up both the metro and the open-top tour buses. The Spanish Steps are less than a ten minute walk away.

We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to our friends and would definitely stay again should we return to Rome.

just got back from the victoria hotel found it excellent. The roof top bar and resturant is amazing, and a welcome relief from all the tourists, food was amazing and very polite waiters. If one small thing a tad away from main sight seeing, took us 80mins to walk back from the vatican city, and in 30 degrees heat was a bit much.

The hotel is a little out the way of the hussle and bussle of the city centre, but a 10mins walk from the Trevi fountain. We really liked the location as it was quiet and peaceful.
The room was lovely and very spacious. Clean bedding and fresh towels were provided daily.
The only thing to let down this hotel is the staff (apart from one bubbly man behind the main desk!) there was no good morning from the breakfast staff or the offer of tea/coffee. When we asked one member of staff about our transfer to the airport he just said he didn't know.
Overall a nice hotel that we would recommend but it would be made great if the staff were friendly and helpful.

The reviews for this hotel were right on. In Rom again on buisness for 4 days. But when in Rom you have to take the time to enjoy the beauty of this magnificent city. So I did. And was able to walk from the hotel to many of the cities attractions. I love being on the street with the local people, looking in the small shops, taking pictures... A twenty minute walk every morning to the Termini to catch the morning train (work). 30 minutes walk in the evening, had more time to relax and enjoy the sceneray after work.
I found Hotel Victoria to be a small comfortable Hotrl off the main paths and away from the heavily traffict tourist areas. But again, still close enough for touristic bliss. Loads of great cafes, restaurants in the area. Hard Rock just around the corner, they have a biker meeting there once a week. Sit outside and watch the show. Sat outside at a different street cafe every evening. I think part of the reason for that was that my room was somewhat small, a little beat, to American standards. A bed, an uncomfortable chair , TV in the corner. If I had any intention of finishing some work in the evenings, this room would have dropped a notch in the overall rating. But Rom, middle of summer, beautiful weather, great location, great cafes,.... the room is for sleeping ....thats it.
Didnt have breakfast in the Hotel, or dinner so no comments there. Staff was courtious and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. No complaints.

Room Tip: Room 525. faces the back street. Quiet. Has a small bacony. No smoking room but you can sit on the b...

We stayed here for four nights in late August and it was fantastic! Upon arrival, we had several tours that we booked and needed confirmation. The concierge helped us out with that and it was a snap. Then out of the blue, one of our tours was rained out. Once again, their concierge helped us get in contact with the tour operator and got us booked for another day. So, that was really impressive to us since we rarely had to use the concierge's service in our travels.

The room was small and the furnishings seem kind of dated, but it was clean and everything was serviceable. Since we're in Rome for the sights and not to camp out in our room all day, none of that mattered too much. There's complimentary wi-fi in public areas, but we sometimes can get spotty connection in our room. So that's a nice bonus when we wanted to check our e-mails at night without having to go down to the lobby. The complimentary breakfast was nice if simple. Service was really great and everyone was friendly.

The hotel is also really close to Villa Borghese and within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to see. We even made two walking trips to the Colosseum in one day! For those not as much into walking everywhere, the hotel is also fairly close to the metro line.
