“Decent & convenient.”

I have to be honest, it did not start well when we first got there. The first day we got there around 1:30 pm local time to check in, they tell us that they were full and would have to move us to another hotel (Hotel Albani Roma). My wife and I were extremely disappointed/annoyed and it showed on our faces. To their defense, the hotel they set us up with wasn't at all bad. In fact, it was better than Hotel Victoria and more modern. It was just a matter of the inconvenience which threw a wrench to our plans for our first day there. We chose Victoria because of its location and Hotel Albani was another 10-15 mins walk away from all the sites we wanted to see. We re-checked-in back to Hotel Victoria and it was the same man that helped us the day before. He was extremely helpful and comp-ed us with a bottle of wine in the room. I'm not saying that this made it up, but it helped. The location was nice & quiet, but it was still close enough to all the tourist sites. The beds were a little hard and the covers were old & rough (so are all the other European hotels). It's an old fashioned hotel and has it charms. Like I said, the hotel is decent & convenient. I would recommend this hotel to our family & friends and that says a lot coming from a New Yorker.

The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, but the walk back is usually uphill ...
The staff is very cordial, especially Nicola who always has a smile on his face and a funny comment ... The upstairs bar was a great place for a late espresso ... As another reviewer said, the bartender - while serviceable - could put a smile on his face ...
The breakfast was typical of Italian hotels - eggs, meats, pastries, etc, etc, all very good ...

Stayed here for two nights following return from a cruise on The Mediterranean. The staff is helpful, the rooms are charming , and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. There is a free breakfast included with your stay -fresh fruit, eggs, breakfast meats and pastries, coffee, tea and juice. All of the major sights in Rome are either within walking distance or an inexpensive taxi ride away:6-10 euros. I would recommend for a short stay in Rome.

We recently enjoyed a pleasant stay @ Hotel Victoria - well located in quiet area, just off Via Veneto and close to Borghese Gardens. Property is well maintained and staff are friendly and very helpful with directions, tours etc.; rates are reasonable, given location. Rooms are fine, with reasonable-sized bathroom, modern and clean. Good nearby restaurants (vs Via Veneto). Unfortunately the rooftop restaurant had just closed prior to our visit (early Oct),however breakfast was well provided and dinner menu was adequate. Would definitely stay there again!

The location of this hotel is a little out of the way but if you enjoy walking there is no reason not to book it. We travelled for two weeks through Italy and France and this property would be our best value by far. Given the price we paid at the time of booking it exceeded our expectations on arrival. It is well appointed, clean and the rooms comfortable if not a bit on the smallish side. The front desk staff were ok if asked a question but otherwise seemed disinterested in the guests...welcome to Rome!

We just returned home after spending 4 nights in Rome at the Hotel Victoria Roma. We were given an upgraded room which was spacious and very comfortable.

The bathroom had plenty of space and the shower was great.
The breakfast buffet was was plentiful offering eggs, cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits and cheeses and assorted breads.

The staff at front desk, Massimo and Nicola were so friendly and helpful. Always a smile and a "Buongiorno"! They were great and will help you make any arrangements for tours, dinner, etc.

The few things that need improvement include the wi-fi service in the room. We were a distance from the lobby so we had no wi-fi signal and had to go outside the room or down to the lobby. The other area is air conditioning. There was none in the room. Just a blower with no cold air. That's Italy! Open the windows! Also, if your room is facing the street, bring ear plugs. It is very noisy on weekend nights with partying going on until the early morning hours.

This hotel has a great roof-top bar but the service is somewhat indifferent. The bar tender doesn't seem to enjoy his work and needs to put a smile on his face.

I would definitely return but I will be choosey next time about room location.

Room Tip: Get room away from street to avoid sleepless nights.

This hotel was a little out of the way, but only a block or so from the Via Veneto and about a 10 minute walk to the Barbieri metro station. Because it was a little remote, it was quiet. The surrounding streets had many restaurants frequented by local residents, which usually means better food than the restaurants that cater to tourists. The hotel staff was friendly; the room was small but adequate; the bathroom shower/tub combination was slightly dated, but there was a modern hair dryer and a magnifying makeup mirror. One of the lounge areas had a computer for public use. This came in handy when I didn't want to incur data charges on my cell phone. Another public area had a selection of daily newspapers. Breakfast was in a nice area with a good selection of baked goods, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, juices, etc. Overall it was a pleasant stay for 3 nights.
