“Impressed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

Very impressed with this friendly, family run hotel. Well situated, good value and very clean. 5 minute walk from Termini. I had a few queries before we arrived - emailed the hotel and couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they responded. They also emailed me useful information before we set off. All of the staff were very pleasant but I must give a special mention to the breakfast lady - a real asset to the hotel! Room very nice, a larger bathroom would have been nice but this is the norm and was perfectly adequate.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 4th floor at the front. It had a double bed plus a single bed in an adjoining p...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in September 2013. The best thing about the hotel is the location. We found lots of places to eat, shopping, etc really close by. Colosseum was just a 10 min walk. Since the hotel is so close to the train station, taking subways was also fast and easy. The rooms are a bit small, which is expected for a centrally located hotel. But everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was really great, lot of options to chose from. The coffee was the best. I would recommend the hotel to friends and would stay there again myself.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 422, I believe. It was comfortable for 2 adults and a child.

Stayed 3 nights at the end of September 2013 in the Amalfi Hotel, very central, close to the train station and a very short distance to several restaurants and bars. Room was very well appointed and clean, reasonable size with air con. All staff were very helpful and pleasant especially the reception staff giving information regarding tours etc. Breakfast was pleasant with a good choice of food, special mention must go to the woman who served us although our languages were not compatible we were able to communicate in a cheerful smiley way. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a great little family run hotel. It's right in the centre of Rome and only ten minutes walk from train and metro. But you can walk just about anywhere from here - Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain. It's surrounded by great places to eat (try Café Santa Maria Maggiore round the corner). Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and welcoming and breakfast was served by a delightful little lady who treated us as if we were her family. I could not recommend this hotel more highly.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front give a wonderful experience of Roman bustle and noise but you can close the shutt...

Spent several nights in Rome in mid September 2013. The Hotel Amalfi was a terrific place to stay and quite reasonable. Location, location, location! The staff was very helpful and the room very clean. The room itself was a little small, but who cares? The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. The best staff member was the woman who cared for our breakfast needs three of the four mornings we ate there. She was cheerful, plucky, and even though we did not speak her language, her eyes and warm smile made us feel like family. Big thumbs up!

What a great place to stay. We visited in June this year and it was an absolutely fantastic gem of a place with friendly and super helpful staff. Even the cleaners stop to say good morning.
I felt so welcome and the gentleman who checked us in was so lovely.
The location is fantastic. I could go on and on about how handy it is.
The room was spotless and the breakfast yummy.
This hotel is a credit to the family who own it.

Couldn't fault my stay here. Owners are friendly, efficient and helpful. The furnishings are what you would expect from a 3* hotel. It's clean, bright and nicely furnished. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. Location is handy for colissium, trevi fountain etc-about a 20 minute walk. There is a tourist info office 5 minutes away and the stop for the hop on/hop off bus is also 5 minutes away. The main termini bus/ rail station is about 15 minutes away on foot. My room was at the back of the hotel so minimal noise for such a central location. On check-out day they happily looked after my case in a locked room as my flight was not until the evening. I would certainly return to this hotel and will confidently recommend it to friends and family. Well done to the family and staff at the Amalfi.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are presumably quieter than those facing the road. Breakfast room is small and y...
