“Great Place To Stay”

This was our first hotel of many on our three week trip in Europe. We were spoiled here compared to the majority of the other hotels. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable (in English). The room was spacious enough for the three of us (all females). Dining on the top of the roof was a nice start each day with wonderful views, great food and wait staff. Location was near train and subway. The restaurant staff went above the norm. The manager/main host was very personable and enjoyable. Restaurant food was slightly above average with a small menu.

The hotel's location is just about a 5-7 minute walk from Rome's Termini train station, so it's an easy find and a short jaunt after a long day of travel getting to Rome from the USA. It's located within a few hundred feet of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, a huge and imposing structure that can be seen from a great distance, making it easy to navigate back to after lots of site seeing. It's convenient to a couple of metro stops as well as Termini, making it easy to get to the Vatican, etc. The rooftop restaurant is very nice and overlooks the Basilica, making photo opportunities the norm. The staff was kind and helpful. The room (two beds for three of us) was fairly small and the bathroom shower was, well, it was just weird. But both seem typical of Rome hotels (I've stayed in two other hotels during other trips and they all had bizarre showers (by American standards). So, nothing negative to say about the hotel that couldn't be said of other hotels in this price range, and certainly nothing that would preclude another stay there if I'm fortunate to make my way back to Rome again.

I have no regrets staying here and would easily recommend it to others.

Nice location for a stay in Rome. Hotel is worn, though. Restaurant is just so, so, especially any buffet, be it breakfast or something special. Staff is very nice and helpful. Plenty of good restaurants in the area and a short walk to the Metro.

Room Tip: Chose the deluxe room facing the Basilica Santa Maria.

Hotel very well located and well appointed. The rooms were a good size and our view over the piazza toward the Cathedral was excellent.
Breakfast and the restaurant was very well appointed and the staff were welcoming and the service very good. The bar/restaurant manager (Giovanni?) was especially welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Piazza!

This was the perfect hotel for our Rome adventure! The room had all we could ask for and the staff was very accommodating. The atmosphere in the hotel is one of old world charm. Daily breakfast was outstanding! We ate so well that we never needed to stop for lunch! The location is close to the train station. We took the advice of previous reviewers and skipped the taxi--it was just 2 short blocks to the hotel. Very central to anywhere you want to go. I will definitely book again on my return visit!

My husband booked this as a surprise birthday present and it was perfect .... Room was lovely with a pretty amazing view, ideal location ( hop on/off tour bus highly recommended) female staff were not as friendly as male but reception staff were really friendly and some staff were just so knowledgeable about historic facts .... Roof garden watching sunset priceless :) :)

Very nice hotel at good location in central historic Roma.
Frienly reseption staff and good room. First moning we have to see other side, Their Terible Restaurant, Breakfast ; they do not control number of customers at time, so part of customers have eat by standing. Cold tea, old tomatoes.
Pope dinner what was 60 eur per person, includes only one warm dishes; one pasta, cold dishes could be factory made.
Pasta in Italy 60 eur!!! Eat all outside hotel.
