This hotel is well kept, comfortable, fine service, and has a great breakfast. We selected this hotel based on previous reviews and all feedback was consistent, except breakfast was even better than earlier suggested. I would recommend this hotel.

Room was comfortable, well kept, stately décor. Service with a smile, spoke many languages. The breakfast was one of the best ever. Delicious, warm, and many choices from eggs to sausage/bacon, pastries, coffee, etc., even locally made organic honey. We will return on our next visit to Rome. Reasonable rates, excellent everything!

We stayed at the Hotel Giulio Cesare in April 2014. The staff were wonderful, helpful and professional. They set up airport pick up for us at a good rate with drivers that spoke English. Our room was ready when we arrived in the late morning from an overnight flight from Atlanta so we were able to take a quick nap before we started on our adventures in Rome for the week. We stayed for 4 days before departing on a cruise. The hotel is decorated in a classically elegant style. The rooms were spacious by European standards and well decorated and appointed. The twin beds in the room were pushed together when we arrived which we appreciated. Maria our maid was very friendly and efficient. Each day she thoroughly cleaned our room and had it ready each afternoon when we returned. The front desk staff and the bartender were very helpful and assisted us with directions, locating area restaurants, etc. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, one of the best.varieties we have experienced in Europe and the US. The hotel is within a 20 minute walk to the Vatican and located in a nice residential area. The only dissatisfier was we arrived before Air conditioning season for the hotel. It was warm in the room which left us with opening the window at night and the traffic on the street side was somewhat loud, ended late and started early. I would think rooms on the court-side of the hotel would be a bit quieter. We hope to return to Rome in the future and we will definitely chose to stay at this hotel again. Barb and Raul from Virginia, USA

Room Tip: Ask for a court-side room to avoid traffic noise, ask for early check in if flying in from the US, ask the hotel to arrange for pick up from the FCO airport

We've had a really nice stay at this hotel. Upgraded to a nicer room.
The personnel did everything to make this a pleasant stay.

Fantastic garden to have a drink in the sunshine. Walking distance to the nice shopping area
close to Piazza del Popolo and also not far from Piazza del Venezia. Good public transport
around the corner.
we would love to go back here again.

Room Tip: the frontside of the hotel is very nice

My family of five adults spent four wonderful nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The location which is slightly removed from the bustle of Rome's major sites and which is very close to the Lepanto metro stop was perfect for our needs. The rooms were quite clean with adequate closet and drawer space as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel is known for its lavish breakfast serving a buffet of eggs, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, and various breads and cakes. All of these factors set the stage for a fantastic experience. However, what I will always remember is the kindness and friendliness of the staff in particular Simona, Tony, and Emanuel. Simona provided us with several restaurant suggestions and was patient when my husband asked for the wrong key more than once. Emanuel gave us a bar experience which was delightfully funny. It is true that some of the room furnishings and wallpaper are dated, but with multiple places to gather and relax such as the lovely garden and bar and such an engaging and helpful staff, one can be sure of a fantastic stay in Rome.
