My husband and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel and it was perfect for us. It's not right in the heart of the busy tourist area and that's why we chose it (quieter) but most of the major sites were within a 15 minutes walk which suited us fine (7-8 minutes to the Vatican). Also, the metro/subway is within a 3-minute walk away - I laughed at a previous reviewer who complained the metro was too far! If walking for 3 minutes is too much then sightseeing in Rome is not for you! We had a Superior room and we found it roomy. The bathroom was large too (for Europe) and it had a feature I thought was brilliant: a retractable clothesline over the tub! Being in Rome in late August the weather was 32 to 34 degrees Celsius everyday so we ended up taking 2-3 showers a day, going through more clothes and undergarments than we expected so we took advantage of that clothesline a lot (if you roll your garments in a towel after you wring out water, it'll dry overnight). We also loved the thick white bathrobes and slippers provided and the air conditioning was cold and strong if we wanted it to be - no issues there like I read about at other hotels in Rome. Breakfast was better than expected. It was a buffet with enough variety: eggs done 3 different ways, bacon, sausages,...More
