The hotel is located on the top of the Spanish steps, in a very upscale neibourhood. Close to every where. Via Venetia just five minutes walk. Staff is very helpfully. Breakfast a little expensive.
Rooms are nice very clean. We are going back in September and will stay there again.

Breakfast is incredible. Rooms are nice size and appointed well.
Great helpful staff, and the rooftop bar has one of the most amazing views we have ever seen.
Close walk to Via Veneto where a good stroll will bring you to great restaurants and nightlife.
This hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, yet quiet enough for a great nights sleep.

Room Tip: Ask for the upper floors facing the Borghese Gardens.

We had a fab time staying here, the staff were great, really friendly and helpful and very kind to our energetic daughter. Their attentivness made our stay and is what sets this hotel apart.
Its not as 'fancy' as some of sofitel's flagship hotels (e.g. Munich) and doesnt have spa facilities/nespreso machines... But the rooms are lovely, well equpped and the roof top bar has a great view and is a lovely place to rest your feet and recover your energy - good cocktails too!

Room was delivered at 3 PM with one hour delay. "Not our fault" said the reception guy shaking shoulders. Probably mine. Or maybe this is a new welcoming tatic. Certainly this is not a boutique hotel as they woukd like to be ....

Wifi does not work properly.

If I could rate the service 6/5, I would. Of all the hotels we stayed during our Euro trip, this hotel has the best service. From the reception to the porter to the waitresses in the restaurant, they're the best. They gave us recommendations on where to go and where to eat even before we asked. We had lunch at the 6th floor restaurant that has a great view of St. Peter's (because the hotel is located high up the hill). The waitress there was great at explaining the food on the menu.

The only downside is returning to the hotel from sightseeing requires you to walk uphill from the Spanish Steps for about 10 minutes which could be a problem for people who get tired easily. but it was no big deal to us.

My friend and I just returned from a nine night stay at the Sofitel. The hotel is located in a quiet, elegant, upscale residential neighborhood across the street from the Villa Borghese Park. and two blocks from the Via Veneto. The staff is outstanding. Very attentive to the needs of their guests. However, be warned that the rooms, although handsome, are very, very small. My room was small, and my friend's room even smaller. Bathrooms are tiny. Hermes amenities and turn down service are pluses, as is the quiet ambiance of the hotel. If you want a room facing the park you must be on the fifth floor or above. If breakfast is not included in your room rate do not pay 30 Euros per person for breakfast in their basement breakfast room. I didn't find it particularly appealing to eat in a basement even if the great painter Caravaggio did once sleep here when it was a stable. The breakfast offered is dull, the fresh squeezed orange juice the worst I have ever tasted. The hotel's elegant dinner restaurant La Terrasse on the roof is quite pricey. The food selection there is small but well prepared and the view is gorgeous. You can see St. Peter's in the distance.
