We loved everything about this hotel from the central location to the beautifully furnished rooms, amazing view of St Peters Dome from our room window, free wifi and very helpful staff. Patrick on reception couldn't do enough to help us, the breakfast was varied, the rooms were very clean and equipped with safe, bath robes and slippers. Will come back to this hotel if we return to Rome. Oh and it is literally yards away from the most delicious gelato parlour ever - Giolitti's.

Room Tip: Request a room at the rear of the hotel, floor 4 or above for a view of St Peter's Dome.

This hotel was centrally located and extremely quiet at night. Our room had an entry foyer with 2 closets, a sofa in the bedroom and a lovely updated bathroom. There were robes and slippers and fresh towels daily. Free Wifi and breakfast. The breakfast on the lower level was amazing. There was everything you could want plus a juicer for fresh carrot juice. The breakfast room itself was beautiful.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 13) stayed at the Hotel Nazionale in Rome from June 17 to June 22, 2014. We stayed in the incredible Buganvillea suite, which is a multi-level, two bedroom suite on the fifth floor. From the balcony (lined by purple flowers), you could see the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, Church of St. Ignatius, Vittorio Emmanuel II Monument, numerous obelisks and so much more. There was nothing more peaceful than sitting out on the balcony in the early morning hearing only the birds and church bells.

The suite had a master bedroom with a king bed and master bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom had two twin beds and there was a second bathroom with a shower on the lower level. There was also a comfortable living room which led to the balcony. Our only suggestion to the hotel for the suite is that there is not much storage for unpacked clothes.

The location is terrific, and within walking distance to most major Rome attractions. The Pantheon is a five minute walk, and there is a wide range of restaurants (and gelato!) in the area.
We also felt very safe with all of the security around the parliament building.

The staff was very friendly, warm and helpful. The buffet breakfast was nice, consisting of typical Roman fare (if you’re looking for pancakes and waffles in Rome, you may be looking a long time!).

We highly recommend the Hotel Nazionale, and if it fits your budget, we especially recommend the beautiful suite.

The hotel is in the same Plaza as Italy's Parliament so it is very safe. It is walking distance to every major attraction. if your feet are tired you can get to the attractions with a €10 cab ride.

The people at the hotel were very friendly and helped us in every way they could whenever they were given a chance too. We highly recommend this place.

My mother and I stayed in this hotel in May. It was our fourth trip to Rome and the best we have had. The staff could not be more helpful or polite. I had read that rooms at the front of the hotel had the best view, so I was a little disappointed when we were shown to a room at the back. What an amazing view we had! I am really glad we were given this one. We looked out across the roof tops with the Vatican in the distance, really terrific at sunset. The room was very nice and very clean; the breakfast variety so varied and well presented it was difficult to choose what to have. We had thought this may be our last trip to Rome, but the Hotel and it's staff were so good we are planning to return in 2015!

This hotel just gets better! Roberta on the front desk is a complete asset to the Hotel and could not do enough for us! Fantastic! She even booked our train to Amalfi Coast and saved us 50% and then paid for it on her own credit card and we gave her the cash - now this is service! The Hotel is older style but hey you are in Rome! On the square with the parliament building - always good for action and close to everything! Highly recommend for a mid priced central Rome Hotel with really nice staff!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the square!

Stayed at the Nazionale for 3 nights in June. This was one of our many stays at this hotel and as usual we couldn't have been more satisfied. From check-in to check-out we had a flawless and most enjoyable experience. The staff is most gracious and helpful and the hotel remains a highlight of our trip. The location is within walking distance of almost all of the must see sights in Rome and in a most beautiful piazza. We look forward to our next visit which hopefully will be soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Piazza Montecitorio.
