Being a family of 5, it is difficult to get a room and a good price. This hotel meet our expectations. It is not walking distance from the tourist attractions. But it is about 10min walk to a Metro station that takes you to the main rail station were other metro lines and bus lines connect also outside the hotel you can get the bus to that takes you to the main rail station. Highly recommend this hotel if you don't mind not being walking distance from the major attractions. But with the Metro you could hit all attractions within minutes. Breakfast was good and a good selection based on European Hotel standards.

Room was cleaned well every day. Not too far away from two subway stops, Termini and Policlinico ( Termini was a bit farther, but with nicer sidewalks on the way, and you could get on either the Blue line or the Red line). We stayed with a 5 year old and a 1 year old in the 4 bed family room. I would not reccomend this type of room if you have a baby, as the bunk bed stairs and top bunk are a very big hazard; each moment we were in the room we had to be on constant gaurd, to keep the baby safe. But for older kids (5 and up) it would be perfect. We loved the scavenger hunt on the first night; and every night after my daughter expected there to be another. Breakfast buffet was typical of Europe; toast, pastries, plain cereal, deli meat and cheese. Sadly the only coffee was instant. If my kids were older I would probably stay here again. They really do try to cater to families with younger kids, but some of the safety points don't quite meet American standards

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast wasn't fancy, but it was good. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. We also liked being in a quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend this hotel, but ONLY if you enjoy walking. The subway station is quite a walk. I can't comment on the bus service as we didn't use it. The walk to the train station pulling luggage was not bad at all.

As people have said before. This hotel is a bit of a way out of the centre but if it wasn't it would be much more expensive and out of our price range. It is only a 5 min walk to the Metro but you do have to change lines to see most of the sights. This only got te be a bit of a drag at the end of our holiday when we were exhausted and it certainly wouldn't put me off booking it again. Our room (410) was very big and spotlessly clean. There wasn't much noise disturbance from the traffic or other guests or staff. We didn't fancy any of the places nearby to eat other than the cafe/bar near the Metro stop (the one with the bright green and orange chairs outside). This did an happy hour from 5.30 until 8.00 and that included an acoholic drink and finger food for 5 euros. I don't know if we were just lucky or not but they brought us more food than we could eat! I would recommend this hotel unless you are not a good walker, but then again I doubt if you would be coming to Rome if you aren't good at walking! One major drawback that definitely does need mentioning is that we had a balcony that was very high up and the doors did onto it not lock. This would be very dangerous if you have children as the balcony is only waist high. We barricaded it at night with furniture as I was afraid out teenagers were going to sleepwalk out of it!!

At first glance, the hotel is nice. The balcony is a nice touch and the AC makes the room really cold, there are restaurants and gelato shops within walking distance, and the walk to the metro isnt terrible. That's about all that's decent in this hotel. The towels smelled like glue, the toilet water smelled like rotten eggs, we had ants all over our room and the balcony doors didn't lock. We ate at the hotel restaurant once ($15 euro pp) and it wasn't good. Food didn't have any taste and although its a buffet, there isn't any variety. Its located on a really busy corner with traffic zooming by and this hotel has NO private parking. We searched for parking for 20 minutes and got lucky to find someone pulling out of a space close by the hotel. The rooms have no microwave or iron & ironing board. You have to request an iron and ironing board from the front desk, and when I did, i waited 30 minutes before requesting it a second time. It took 20 minutes at that point for it to be delivered. Hotel staff start cleaning at 8 in the morning, so the one morning my husband and I tried sleeping in, we were disturbed by hotel staff about 5 times, trying to enter the room. Completely annoying. This hotel doesn't understand that people who visit are on vacation, and need things like irons & sleep. We do plan on visiting Rome again but we definitely do NOT plan on staying here.

Room Tip: There is NO private parking. You have to park on the street, if you can find a spot.

We stayed here the one night , after traveling by train to Rome from Salerno. Chose this hotel as it was advertised as being close to the Termini. In fact it was 5 bus stops on the 310 bus. However on arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who spoke English. Our room was spotless, roomy and very well appointed. We had a small balcony and a separate dressing room. Breakfast included in the price was delicious and had lots of choices. We would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony. Lovely watching the world go by.

Situated away from the centre of Rome, near the university this 3 star hotel is basic.

Rooms are adequate, well the 3rd one we tried was, Staff were reluctant to move us saying the hotel was full but after gentle persuasion moved us twice.
The walls are wafer thin and you can hear the next door room quite clearly.
Mattresses are poor quality and thankfully we had walked so much during the day we did manage to sleep.
Bathroom is basic and small , if you are over 6 ft tall then you will have problems with the shower.
Wifi is slow and unresponsive but free.
Breakfast was in a small school canteen noisy room and was a bit of a struggle to find a seat and food that was not stale.
The hotel is situated on a main road and the windows do not block out the constant traffic.
Other than a good ice cream shop facing the area holds no surprises and is run down and unattractive.
A half mile walk to the train station takes you 2 stops to the centre of Rome.
If you are looking for a good hotel on a budget ...look somewhere else as this place in July is not a good hotel or cheap.
