This I the rig I'm I had visited Rome and wanted to get a good hotel. The hotel was in a good position as far getting to place like St. Peter's basilica, trevi fountain and the pantheon. It was noisy outside the hotel with traffic flowing 24/7 and the noisy police cars. You could get used to that.

The room itself wasn't to bad though there are. Few things I wasn't happy with as a 4 star hotel. We could nt g the ir conditioning unit to work and the room was hot at night. If the indows wa open it was to noisy to sleep. In places w saw that the wall paper was peeling off, what is wrong with that, not a lt may be but the holiday cost nearly a 1000 pounds for 5 nights. We could not use the shower as the guard was missing so water went all over th poor and th bth plug would not fit. The lifts were very small an though hey said it old carry up to 6 people in reality only 2 could fit in. My partner was in a wheel chair and once we struggled to get that in the lift and also my partne there was no room for me.

We did not in the staff very helpful and when we spoke to the receptionist they were very curt and not very friendly. May be if we were Italian it may have been different. If I was going to give this hotel stars it would only be a 2.

Circa 1960 hotel, but who cares, it's all about the location. Yea rooms a little dated but who the hell spends much time looking at the 4 walls when you're in Rome. Breakfast hits the spot before heading out for a day's sightseeing. Before you leave the hotel, make sure you visit the roof top terrace. Simply amazing views! As mentioned in previous reviews, everything you ever wanted to see in Rome is on the doorstep.

I've lived in Rome and firmly believe that, as much as possible, Rome is to be seen and savoured walking, stopping, if tired, for a coffee or refreshing drink. The hotel's location is perfect for this; round the corner from Piazza Venezia ,an easy stroll to the Forum and Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Quirinale, Bocca della Verita, with bus stops nearby for those unwilling to walk to St Peter's, Santa Maria Maggiore, etc, a little further away
I really liked the hotel. It is warm and welcoming with spacious rooms (by no means guaranteed in Roman hotels), huge bathrooms and good beds. The inside rooms give onto a courtyard and are very quiet.
The staff are friendly and courteous, the Reception Staff most amiable, helpful and efficient.
A very good, extensive cold buffet is on offer at Breakfast with copious platters quickly replaced as they empty.
I have no negative comments and would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: The inside rooms are very quiet as they face into a courtyard.

The hotel has tasty breakfast and good location. Rooms are a little bit old and absolutely unstylish. The awful colors of curtains, bedcovers and carpet made thing worse. Of course that can't be a big problem if you need just sleep there (I slept very well !!)

we stayed for 4 nights in the last weekend. We were 3 and booked a triple room. Arrived at 10AM and receuved a corner room at the 5th floor on the spot. The room was spacious and airy with a balcony surronding the room, so was the bathroom.
Breakfast was nice in Italian standards. a selections of meat, cheese cakes and yogurts. Remember this is Italy and people grab caffe and cornetto on the way to work in the morning.
But the biggest advantage was the location: never used a bus even to get to Porta Portese on Sunday morning. everythis is so close....
