The check in to too long time. 20 min when it was our turn.
The pool security guy - was asleep even when it was children in the pool. (we even took a photo of him sleeping)
In the evening we were going to take a glass of wine in the bar, we sat down for 10 min, no one working there.
After mentioned it to the reception, who said that they will call for the person, we waited for another 5 min, still no one was willing to serve us.
In the morning breakfast the clean glasses was not clean, many of them was not washed at all, and they came from the kitchen directly.
The bread was so hard, you could kill some one with it:-)

The staff working in the reception was not in the best serving mode., more arrogant than positive.

Really disappointed !!

I cannot believe that anyone would ever say that this place deserves more than a "0" stars as a rating. My wife and I walked in and our first affront was the outdated furnishings and the pissy smell. The only virtue was that the staff was very nice. We then enter the room and were greeted by a soiled carpet, water stained walls, smoky mildew smelling outdated room. We then sat on the bed and it slid toward the door. We told the staff that we were leaving, they offered us an upgrade. We were so horrified that we turned down the offer and paid 300 bucks at a hotel across town, and could not have been happier to get out of this nightmare at any price. STAY AWAY!

Room Tip: There isn't one good room in this hotel

The head receptionist was arrogant, the pool was under maintenance (month of July!!!), the carpet in the room was filthy, the non smoking room reeked of nicotine, overall a "poor" experience! To move around Rome was not easy at all. Public transportation in this city is awful and the hotel is very far from the city center!

I was disappointed in this hotel,
When we arrived we were checked in and given a room number, when we went to our room it was a twin but we had booked a double. We went back to reception to explain and we were greeted with a grumpy receptionist and told we would have to wait till the following day so we asked what other room were available until then and she said a suite or king so we chose the king and thankfully charged no more money.
The rooms are tiny dark and dingy, but they are clean. Nice shower, working aircon and a safe, plenty of lights and plug sockets.
The hallways smell of urine and the carpets are stained.
The bar is overpriced and no one seems to ever be serving there.
The staff are grumpy and rude apart from the pool staff and house keeping.
The breakfast is nice and well stocked, nice coffee and tea.
The swimming pool is nice and the staff are great but it has been closed for the past to days and they are unsure if it will open again for the rest of our holiday but of course on apology.
I would not return to this hotel unless it was updated.
We have had a nice holiday though so it can't have been that bad

My wife and i stayed in the NH chain of hotel also a 4 star in milan eaelier in the year and were quite impressed over all and therefore booked a holiday to this hotel early july 2013.

This hotel was specificaly chosen because it had a pool. We wanted a mixture of a sumer pool holiday mixed with some sightseeing and history.

I will begin with the positives. The pool is outstanding. The pool staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy. Big enough to swim in and not just sit in. Nice big umbrellas for shade. The pool really made the holiday. Except for towards the end of our trip the pool was roped off with no for warning and the pool was closed for two days . Irritating. With no explanation.

Bar drinks are very expensive! Be careful if you're on a budget . Two vodka and coke and a small beer was ?29 !! We chose to go to the local supermarket to stock up (4min walk from hotel) beer ?2 bottle vodka ?10 litre and coke ?3 for 2litre !! Get ice and plastic cups from the hotel bar . They are a little reluctant to part with their precious ice but will do if you stand your ground. Which moves me on to my next comment.... Bar and reataurant staff were rude and grumpy . No exceptions in 9 days!! Reception, housekeeping and pool boys lovely and helpful at all times.

We didn't eat lunch or dinner in the hotel as we wanted to explore Rome and also it was very expensive. Average lunch price 30+? pp without drinks. Center of rome average ?15pp incl drinks.

The breakfast was included in our stay. Its buffet style. Lots to chose from well worth getting up before 10am for. Just steer clear of the 'hot' bacon and eggs under the closh. Greasy boiled fatty warm bacon and rubbery greenish coloured scrambled egg soaked in butter. The rest of breakfast very good. Omelette's made to order for an extra ?9.

The hotel itself is in desperate need of a re vamp , carpets are stained , decor old fashioned. Not dirty just old and dreary. not much storage/wardrobe space for two. had to keep most of our clothes inthe case. Rooms really Need modernising . The reception is imaculate yet once you get upstairs its old and tired. Beds were 'made' daily but only 'changed' once in 9 nights after us having to request new sheets from housekeeping. Bed is comfy and air con works well. There is free wifi at the hotel but its not the best and drops out quite a lot. You need to get a new password every 24 hrs .

There is a local bus (881) which is 5 min walk from hotel costs ?1:50 each way and drops you in the center of rome. Takes no more than 10 mins. Taxis are expensive.

Overall id stay in this hotel again but only if i wanted a pool as hotels with one in cities are few and far between. If the pool wasnt important . Id stay somewhere else. But all in all we had a nice time at this hotel. Would say it was more a 3 star rather than a 4 .

Plus points- lovely reception area and breakfast.
on the down side - area full of con men, staff attitudes terrible, room service a joke, would charge you to breath if they had the option, rooms/tv very basic, free WiFi a ploy to make you buy a premium package per day, good if your not interested in sight seeing as you need to get a bus then the metro before you are near any landmarks. Fitness centre the same size as a standard room! Sorry for being soo negative but a Travelodge would have been better value. So glad there are some very nice places to eat around here.

The location is ok, a short walk to the bus stop that took us to the metro station in about 5 minutes. For the price though, we could have stayed somewhere more central and saved precious time waiting for the bus going to and from. Not a lot of choices when it comes to food from their own restaurant. The bed was comfortable, the pillows too bulky and hard to sleep on. The staff are friendly. The pool is a plus which was why we booked this hotel, but contrary to what they said to us that its open from 1st June, it was closed while we were there.... Some construction going on.

Tip: Across the road from where the bus stop is you will see a buffet restaurant that also offers sit down meals. Food was good and price is not overly inflated as compared to the city centre. Its a local restaurant and staff that served us barely understand or speak engllish so they got our order wrong, but food was still very nice.
