Good hotel but rooms are dated: stains on carpet in room and hallways. Need a renovation!
We arrived early so room wasn't ready but we could store bagage and come back at time of check-in (not very practical but so be it). Safe in room didn't work (needed new battery) and lamp at entrance was broken, T° in room was too high so maintenance had work to do but all was fixed immediately. Very good breakfastbuffet although second morning fresh fruitbar stayed empty. great choice of bread and cakes! Coffee or the you had to take on our own from machine.
Big minus was the pool: very nice pool but way too cold to enjoy! Never got further than my ankle what was a disappointment because we booked this hotel also for the pool . Dangerous situation with shower at pool: shower gave almost boiling water! They fixed it but with children around very dangerous situation!.

We went to this hotel on May 2014. The pros: The rooms were great, clean, and with confortable beds. The breakfast was excellent. The cons: Far from the main sights. We had a problem with a taxi reservation we needed to get into the train station. The confirmed us our reservation twice, but at the last minute they kept us waiting for the taxi, and when it did not arrive they recognized they gave our taxi to other people. We lost our train, and we had to incurr in several expenses due to this problem. With all the money we lost we could have stayed in a better hotel!

We visited this hotel for a 4 day city break and absolutely loved it. We stayed in an upgraded room which we think was a double comfort luxury or something similar, it was very large and perfect for what we needed. Although it sadly did not have a balcony and it overlooked the roof it had great air con, a huge bed, well stocked mini bar and a spotless bathroom with a very deep bath tub.
We only spent a small amount of our time in the hotel as we were out exploring Rome from 8am to evening. This hotel is a little out of the city but DO NOT let this put you off.
The bus comes from the main road outside the hotel (just next to the petrol garage) and you can jump on for free. Although you are supposed to buy €1.50 travel tickets from tobacco stores, there are no ticket checks on board and none of the locals use any tickets. Get off at the nearest metro station Valle Aurelia and purchase a 100 minute travel ticket for €1.50 or an all day unlimited metro pass for €6.00. If you are there for 3 days it is so worth getting the 3 day tickets for around €12.00 I think.
Metro's come every 3/4 mins during the day to both ends of the line and you can easily switch lines at the Termini station to get to other places such as the Colosseum and the Testaccio area of Rome.
Basically, stay in this nicer area of Rome for a little cheaper and the travel is EASY! Don't walk or get taxi's, buses come every 15 mins and it is simple.

The facilities in the hotel were brilliant. The pool was lovely and quite quiet as a lot of people go sight seeing all day, towels are free and provided by the life guard. The lobby is lovely and the breakfast was so good. We have allergies and they even provided rice milk and soya milk to go with the range of cereals and fruit platters. Hot bacon, eggs, sausages, breads and croissants with jams and spreads, fresh juices and smoothies and two coffee machines. We were full until dinner time!

A shuttle bus goes from Termini station to Ciampino airport for €8 return, simply jump on the bus from outside the hotel, metro to termini and viola! Easy peasy!

I would return to this hotel tomorrow, it was one of the best we have stayed in and couldn't fault it on anything. Great location, great staff and it made for a perfect stay with free wifi!

Room Tip: Ask for one with a balcony, would be lovely.

Stayed here at start of our Tempo Holidays tour. Hotel itself was very nice but our room was quite small. Not sure if other rooms were similar. Very nice large pool.
Quite a way out of Rome, really needs a shuttle bus. We like to walk and did attempt to return from city centre on foot; after 40 mins we were forced to get taxi when road narrowed and no footpaths available. Did find a spectacular lookout though with sweeping views of the city; don't know why City tours don't take you there.
Good buffet breakfast available, and comfortable bar.

My wife and I stayed here in late June. It is a nice hotel but a little far from the city center making it expensive to get too and I am almost certain that the front desk guy on the day we checked out sold us on a 45 euro cab ride that was overpiced to Ciampino. The other down side is that for the price there should not be an "ironing room". I feel you should have an iron in every room for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is pretty good although its the exact same daily. Could use a little variety. Other then that its does the job.

The hotel appears as a non-smoking establishment. But in the first room, we find a ashtray and matches and it smell room. We ask to have another room and the receptionist say that all the room are non-smoking room. The second room also has a ashtray and matches but the air was correct. Finally, we find later that some of the room has a specific identification for non-smoking room. We don't appreciate the misrepresentation of the hotel.

I was abit worried when I booked this hotel through secret hotels and read the reviews as they were very mixed, but I was presently surprised the hotel was nice clean and quite, we ate in the hotel restaurant twice which was lovely the food was excellency and reasonably priced, breakfast came in with the price when we booked and was just your normal continental breakfast which was nice and always full with the selection they provided.
The hotel isn't far from the Vatican City it is about 20mintues walk but the hotel with give you a little map of where to get bus tickets and where to catch the bus in to the city when you ask at reception which is about 10mintues once on the bus and once your there you can walk everywhere and take in the sights.

I would stay here again if I was in Rome again couldn't really fault the hotel about from the woman who checked us in was alittle rude but nothing too bad.

Room Tip: We stayed in 457 which was on the road but wasn't loud at night at all
